This particular Du-par's is very nostalgic because it is located right near Hollywood. Celebrities come in occasionally and it has been here since 1938. It was especially fun for my husband and I to visit this past early morning Black Friday 2016, because we hadn't been there since 1982 after just seeing E.T. at a nearby theatre. I do have to say, that the only reason I am giving it a 4 star, my tri-tip dinner plate was not as good as the Du-par's in Pasadena. The meat was definitely over cooked. Their pancakes were outstanding as usual, but my dinner was not that great.

Du-par's Restaurant & Bakery, Studio City, California A friend had actually taken ME there almost two (2) weeks ago and I really enjoyed their food. I therefore decided to return back there last weekend and had a Very Enjoyable Dining Experience! For Lunch: I had USDA Prime New York Steak, along with a Garden Salad, Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice since that is one of My Favorite Juices with a very Delicious Strawberry Cream Pie for Dessert. During my Dining Room experience I also had the opportunity to meet Drew Carey who was enjoying his Lunch there as well and so You Never Know Who You Are Going To Meet at Du-par's Restaurant & Bakery! I was very much Impressed with the Food and the Service received by Walter, one of their Lead Waiters who has been with the restaurant for a very long time! I want to personally Thank Frances Tario for Inviting ME back to the restaurant and Walter, the Lead Waiter for providing ME with Fantastic, Top Notch Du-Par's Restaurant & Bakery Dining Services and for Helping Me Make My Youtube Video back on Saturday, November 4, 2017. Good home style food served here with lousy service. I've never hear a bad plate here except for this muffin but the service is the worst. You have to flag down any waiter/waitress just to place an order. Then you feel like you're asking them for the biggest favor ever. Don't come here if you're in a hurry. Also, while another customer was flagging down a waitress she loudly exclaimed, "I'm not your waitress!".

Worst ever customer service for a $20 breakfast! The only person who can resolve issues is the manager, Frances & she only works from 11-2pm & happens to be busy or conveniently steps out during those hours. She doesn't return messages. No wonder there were only a few customers in there. Sandra & the other servers w/poor attitude have prob been there forever. Not worth the price-- IHOP has better pancakes & basic customer service skills.

Food was delicious as always, unfortunately the server was rude and barely came to my table to at least ask how the food is. She seemed to have an attitude as well. Only issue I had with the food was that two of the full stack pancakes were really undercooked but overall, it was a good experience. I definitely recommend Du-Pars in Pasadena.

They have the best pancakes that I ever had by far. But the prices are outrageously high for the kind of food they have there and the service is extremely hit or miss at both the Studio City and Encino locations. So I just go there only for the pancakes and French Toast and put up with the sporty service.
