I had Pancake banana & walnut with warm butter and scrambled eggs. Mozzarella, mushrooms & onion omelette. Both OMG. Not an outside eater but it was wonderful and to listen to the fantastic band. As a visitor to LA, I would recommend this place hands down. Our server brought a bowl with water for our grand dog who we were babysitting for. Sorry forgot to get waitress name (12:30p) today. Went back 5/4/22 brunch today steak and eggs spot on, Daniel server really nice, brought treats for the puppy.
This is a world class cafe with a big and roomy interior and an epically big outdoor seating patio with a rain cover.
You can order at the counter or sit down and be served they have a food menu and an extensive coffee and tea menu.
They have fully loaded bathrooms and speedy Wi-Fi!
The decor is like a quaint winter lodge meets a classy hipster.
They have a full bar so coffee drinkers and drunks can finally unite!
The young man behind the register gave me my coffee on the house and wished me a happy new year which was extremely kind and a class act A+ to the guy with the neck tattoo and baseball cap 🧢
The Classic cheeseboard and the bread was amazing. However I was disappointed in my Angel Hair Pasta with Fresh Tomato, Basil, Mozzarella, Pine Nuts & White Wine Garlic Butter Sauce. My friend got The Brie Burger which she also thought was okay. I want to go back cause I think maybe we just got the wrong choices for ourselves and I’m looking forward to trying a different item. It’s pretty expensive for an ok meal
I’ve been here a few times over the years and I’ve always had a great experience. The Cesar salad is my favorite item here and they have a great alcohol selection. My waiter was especially great this past Sunday. And the mushroom crepe is delicious as well. The outdoor area is dog friendly.
Love this place tried it for the first time 2 weeks ago. Food was delicious (the mac and cheese was off the chain) also the chicken dish was scrumptious! Nice ambience, very airy , music was good too. Last but not least big shout out to Jason who was our waiter, very nice guy and super efficient. We felt very welcomed. Going back this wknd !

I LOVE this place! Came here with a friend in the evening for some wine and charcuterie and cheese and it was just soooo beautiful, filling, and balanced. Our server helped us decide on what we wanted - super helpful since they have so many options. Just wow. Wish my phone wasn't dead or I would have taken a bunch of pictures. Really enjoyed the visit - great vibes.
Bon Vivant is one of my favorites in Atwater Village. The menu is diverse, and they are flexible in their preparations. The food is of good quality, and they serve breakfast all day long; even up to closing. The indoor seating is a mix of private tables and larger family style table. The outdoor seating is very comfortable and surprisingly quiet even though it’s next to Glendale Blvd.
Be sure to try something from their extensive barista/tea menu, or from the bar.
