We went with high expectations and there were still exceeded. The food was high quality, flavorful and fresh. This was our first time eating Oaxacan food, and we fell in love with it. The mole, chorizo and memelitas were especially good. Would suggest going with the platters so you can try different things. Do try the tamarind drink here as well. This seemed like a family run kitchen, and they were very friendly and accommodating. Overall, had a stellar experience; would highly recommend this place.

Pretty good food, My Oaxaca’s friend ordered for so not 100% sure what I ordered but can complain with my meal. They also offer crickets which are much tastier than I would have thought they are. They also sell amazing salsa

Traditional Oaxaca food done perfectly. I highly recommend the food here. Very friendly service from 4 generations of family. Great prices and generous portions. The chile reino was the best I've ever had. They roast the chile ahead of time so it has a great smokey flavor. Parking can be tricky but it's worth it.

Not very good. Someone else described the chilaquiles as soggy chips in tomato soup, and I have to agree but add “with raw onions on top.” I added rice and beans—which were more like black bean soup—but had the waiter take them off the check because they didn’t come out hot (almost like they’d been scooped before my meal had been prepared). The Chile relleño was not what I expected; it came out sauceless with shredded chicken in a weird smoky red pepper that was more like a skin that needed to be peeled off. The waiter never came over to check up on me or refill my drink either. Overall, bad food, bad service. I’m going to try other restaurants in the area instead.

Mole Pollo is delish, serves this type of tortilla-pizza that's very oaxacan. Tamarindo drinks are refreshing on a hot day. Doing CicLAVia from Grand Ave to Hollywood.

¡Auténtico sazón oaxaqueño! The food tastes 99% like it does in Oaxaca, the place feels just like walking through a portal to Oaxaca.
