Churro Borough

This was one of our stops on our road trip but it turns out that this little gem has permanently closed. The owner Sylvia was really fun and loved her job. They have these fruit type popsicles (poletta) that were so yummy for the tummy. But the go to meal was the churro ice cream sandwich...awesomeness trust me. Deep fried sooo delicious. Nice variety of ice cream but it does matter what time you come by as the joint gets jumping. Churro fries with 3 types of dipping sauce. Off the chain people

Who doesn't love a good churro? And who doesn't dream about ice cream whenever they're not having it- and maybe even during? Put the two together, and you have a deliciously dangerous combination of sweetness and texture you may not find anywhere else. From the moment they open, these guys are understandably packed and busy, but the wait is worth it. They have a hefty amount of different and unique ice cream flavors, my favorite being the Spanish Latte, but also including options like Brown Butter Cookie Sorbet, Chocolate Almond Coconut, Blackberry Cheesecake, Coconut Keffir Lime, Chocolate Cookie Malt, the list goes on. The real reason to come here, though, is to try one of these delicious flavors in one of their fluffy, crispy churro sandwiches. The contrast of flavors and textures compliment each other perfectly. They also sell a few other items, such as light popsicles in fresh flavors like Spicy Mango, Watermelon Lemongrass, Guava Lime, and Raspberry Jamaica. Their small offering of cookies are chewy and light, and their modest drink menu boasts some pretty good coffee; though don't expect any exciting specialty drinks here.
