Love their tamales. They have been around for a while and they have a good selection.

Terrific but expensive take out tamales...by experts so knowledgeable they literally wrote a book on tamales. And what a treat RIGHT FROM YOUR OWN FREEZER when you buy a few, always a couple on sale.

Yummy tamales. Ordered a chicken verde and a beef machaca. Both are good but the beef lachaca is tastier.

Best tamales I ever ate!!!!!!! I love Mexican food. So proud of her for this genius idea for variety in tamales. I was fortunate to learn how to make them years ago at her mother's house before she opened the restaurant, and when she sent them to me I was over joyed to taste the different varieties. I continue to make them myself on occasion in variety only because I am not close enough to go eat there now. The masa they prepared was carefully prepared like mixing a cake. Love Tamara's Tamales!!!

This is not a big restaurant but more of a tamale vendor. She has many kinds of tamales, including vegetarian and vegan tamales (don't worry, no lard). I went in with an order for 17 people and the lady couldn't have been nicer or more patient. She was out of the beef tamales by the time I got there at the end of the day, but I got pork, red chile chicken, chicken verde, chicken mole, black bean, chicken cilantro pesto, jalapeno cheese, veggie special, and traditional dessert tamales. I steamed them myself (much better than microwaving) and they were absolutely delicious. Everyone was very happy! I wish I lived in California so I could buy them again! Prices are very reasonable, especially if you buy by the dozen, and the lovely woman threw in a very tasty fire roasted red salsa and chips. I wanted to go back the next day but unfortunately we didn't get the chance. Go if you're in the area!

The tamales are ,as anyone knows who has tried them ,beyond compare. Yet that is only part of the story. The people who work there--every single one-- are beautiful, helpful and a pure pleasure in all that they do. Hidden away in a nondescript strip mall. I return every time I am in town. I may be driving 2000 miles simply to experience this treat.

So many options! It's great to have such a wide selection of yummy tamales so close. Their chips and salsa are great also. I only wish they were open more! (check times before you go, theirs are a bit odd).

Came here for lunch on a Wed around 2 PM. Great selection of tamales. I tried the chicken mole and black bean and got the green chile cheese and pasilla rajas to take home for my sister. The mole one could have had more mole sauce but the chicken quality was good, white meat! I was surprised since usually the type of meat quality in tamales isn't the best. The black bean tamale was surprisingly very tasty, especially when I added some salsa to it. With your meal they give you a bag of tortilla chips (looks homemade) and they have a mini salsa bar with surprisingly good roasted tomato and green salsa. It's a bit pricier than what I would normally pay for a tamale but it was very good! I tried the other tamales later and they weren't as good.

These were the most moist tameles I've ever eaten. I ordered one of all the vegetarian options and the beef and chicken options for a gathering i hosted. All if them were DELICIOUS. Tamara's will be my togo to spot now for quick catering options. 😊

Sought this place out when I was in the area, almost missed it--hidden in the back left corner of a strip mall. Returned again 3 days later because it was that good, and bought some more to take home. Owners quite literally wrote the book on tamales (okay, a book, but still). Delicious, inexpensive, real.
