One thing I really value is great service! In my opinion, it makes or breaks a food service experience. What I enjoy even more is when there is great service, a flavorful variety of beverages, and, of course, cleanliness is important to me.
This place has it all!
I had no idea what to expect. From the moment I walked in by myself, I felt comfortable. The sweet young man working today kindly walked me through the options to best fit my dietary needs and preferences.
The Chai was absolutely flavorful, and the waffle was hot, fresh, crunchy yet soft, and definitely delicious! They have an organic alternative dairy option as well. Plus, real maple syrup! Score!
I will absolutely go back based on my first experience!
Plenty of seating inside. Paid street parking outside but it’s tight. We ordered the banana and Nutella waffle, and the s’mores waffle. I thought they were OK. My daughter said they were delicious. I was hoping to get the Liege’s sticky and crunchy on the outside gooey on the inside waffle, but it was a little dry. You can’t go wrong with bananas and Nutella so I was satisfied.
We concur with other reviews. Waffle dishes are out of this world. We were there for breakfast and we were very well received with a table outside and a very attentive/friendly waiter. I had to buy some coffee beans when we left to take home . It was that good.
Got the savory waffle and the s'mores waffle. We got the smoked turkey and the guda on the savory waffle, it was very good. The savory reminded me of a grilled cheese, but there was small bits of carmalized sugar on the bottom side of the waffle. The added sugar was a nice little bit of sweetness, which if you are looking for just a savory taste may not have been the best option. The s'mores waffle had speculoos, dark chocolate and marshmallow cream. The combination did a great number of recreating the s'mores flavor and experience. There was a small bit of burnt marshmallow that just added to the campfire taste.
I went here for my birthday last Friday. I was just really in the mood for a waffle to relive my childhood.
I walked in 28 and I left 19 years old. This waffle literally regenerated my cells and slowed the aging process down.
I even left my iPad there and they charged it for me so I was able to recover it 5 days later. Star service and the best waffle in California.
I became a bit of a “waffle snob” ever since I had Belgian waffles for the first time…in Belgium. So needless to say, I was a bit skeptical when I saw the banner stating “voted best waffles in America”. I ordered the Traditional Liege Waffle and, hands down, this was indeed the best I’ve had since I came back to the States…I am definitely a believer now! Also, pleasant vibe, and very accommodating service. Will definitely be going back!
Lately service has been very good. The Liege waffles are great. Not many places make them and they’re worth a try. They are richer than the average waffle. I always get a strawberry and Nutella waffle with an iced oat milk latte. They also serve savory waffles. Meter parking and 2 hr parking in the surrounding neighborhood . No lot.
Absolutely…..wow. Such a cute little spot, its overflow of warmth and great energy. The smells in here are divine and the mocha latte and the sausage Gouda waffle….delicious..
This has been my favorite for more than a decade. No gimmick or trendiness factor, just a really good latte and a crazy indulgent waffle and a comfy feeling that only a place that has survived this long on Beverly can provide. Would recommend to anyone.
This waffle helped me go through a hard day, and the staff was really nice. Definitely recommend, tasty and great texture.
