Wonderful food and service. Love Thai food. Eat it whenever I can. Anajak Thai is not close to my home, but whenever I am in the neighborhood I eat there. Rick and his wife make us feel welcome and they remember what our favorite dishes are. Food is delicious and unpretentious. I really don't like tofu, but the tofu curry is sublime and and tender. Highly recommend the place.

Best all around restaurant. My family has been eating here for almost 10 years and won't eat at other Thai restaurants. As my husband said last week when we were there: "this is probably the best food I've had" (he's eaten at yummy places all over the world). We love the owners and they seem to know or get to know everyone that walks in the door (unless it's a busy Saturday night). Our favorites are the Shrimp Superb appetizer, tempura sushi, and any of the curry dishes. I'm drooling just thinking about it!

LA Time’s 2022 Best Restaurant of the Year and James Beard award recipient - with those kind of accolades, of course I needed to try. Made a reservation a month out online and had dinner at 6pm on a Saturday with my dad. We ate outside in the alley and I liked the outdoor seating because it was a bit loud and cramped inside (although if that’s the vibe you’re going for, it’s not bad). My dad had the wine flight, which on that day was $60 (its market price) and the theme was Gamay. The som did a great job of explaining the backgrounds of the wines and our waitress Pam was so nice. I had a Thai iced tea (not listed on the menu) and they give you water to serve yourself with at the table. We got the pork ribs for our app; although it wasn’t as tender as I thought it would be, the sauce was really tasty. I appreciated the wet wipe they gave us to use after eating it. The southern Thai fried chicken was my favorite dish - it comes in 5 pieces and some sticky rice with a sweet chili sauce and a vinegar sauce. The rice flour batter was crispy and the chicken was juicy. My dad found the drunken noodles to be the best, as there was nice flavor and the right amount of spice. We were deciding between this and noodles supreme, but ultimately the drunken noodles are spicy whereas the noodles supreme are just primarily made with eggs and onions. Service was on top of everything and it was cool being in the alley (it was a little cramped inside). Bathrooms are available inside and are single occupant. Credit cards accepted. Metered street parking.

We made our first visit to Anajak Thai, driving two hours to join our friends. It was definitely worth the journey. We enjoyed a variety of delicious dishes, including the standout crispy fried chicken, flavorful crudo kampachi, pad Siew, pad thai, beef panang, pork ribs, and garden wings. While the prices were reasonable, the portion sizes were a bit small. We ordered the pad thai after finishing all the other dishes. The extensive wine list and sommelier's assistance in selecting a great bottle impressed us. Our server even shared a recipe for making sticky rice with mango since they didn't offer desserts. We will definitely return to try more dishes.

We had an excellent dining experience. We were last minute walk-ins half an hour before closing to a restaurant filled with patrons inside and outside with roughly 10 people standing outside waiting. From the moment we met the front staff, we were treated with respect until we stepped out. They went out of their way to accommodate us, and we never felt rushed despite the fact we were seated 25 minutes before closing. We ordered fried chicken, sea bream and papaya salad. All were excellent for not only their taste but also quality of ingredients and presentation. We were especially impressed with the sea bream dish. The wait staff were exemplary.

Nothing short of spectacular. We were invited by friends for dinner. This is a fine dining experience. The spectacular reviews are all true. Each plate was better than the next. It was great to be with several people so we could try more things. The fried chicken was wonderful, the pork ribs were fall off the bone, the Cabbage was unique. Ian the sommelier was very helpful. Overall a spectacular experience.

WOW! There was so much hype about Anajak and it’s been so long I have been wanting to go but the reservation is hard to get. Happy to say it lived up to all my expectations and more. We sat inside which was very nice. The outside area looks nice too if its not a very hot day. We ordered the following and I rank them in order of what I liked most: 1. Panang Beef 2. Pad Siew 3. Thai Basil Beef(very spicy) 4. Papaya Salad 5. Thai Fried Chicken (this was great but nothing special in my opinion) The vibe was awesome too and the service was great. Anna was very helpful and helped us choose the best options.

Honestly I think they hype is a little much here now and Anajak has out grown their location. You foodies have flocked here and taken all the reservations and cause for a line down the block at opening times. Also no more take out, just makes me sad to think i'll never be able to casually eat here again :(

I drive down Ventura all the time and there’s always a huge line of people waiting to get in outside. This has always intrigued me and has made me want to go, but I was a bit turned off by the lines. So I drove by and asked if I could make reservation for 2 that day. With hurricane Hilary on its way, some people canceled and I was able to get a reservation for that same night which was a pleasant surprise! The host and everyone was very nice. I can’t remember our waiter’s name, (maybe Gabe ) all I remember is he was tall, dark, and handsome lol. We decided to eat inside which is small, packed, and very loud with music blasting and everyone talking. They also have outside dining in front and on side of the restaurant in alley. We tried a delicious Stein Riesling glass of wine and bottle of Elio Perrone Bigaro moscato. (Although the wine is great, it’s overpriced about 2x as much as the regular price in stores) They change their wine by the glass menu weekly which I love. We started with the papaya salad which was super spicy but so tasty and flavorful. Then we had the Southern Thai fried chicken which was really good, freshly made, and fulfilling. From these two items we were already full between the two of us but we still had two other dishes we had ordered which included the Tom Yum Fumet soup and the Drunken Noodles. Like I said we were already full, but we still ate the soup which was so good. It came with a lil’ kick, lemony flavor, and full fish (watch out for the bones we both almost choked). We couldn’t eat anymore so we took the Drunken noodles home and it was just as good as everything else we ate at the restaurant. The noodles also had a little spiciness to it and we got it with chicken which was good. Next time I want to try it with shrimp. All in all the food was good and satisfying, service great, and it’s definitely going to be added to my new go to spots in the valley. Try it out for yourself and see what you think!

Wonderful vibes in an alley. Very kind Staff! Had the pleasure of attending their Thai Taco Tuesday. Seating for 4 was much quicker than expected, considering the massive line. Each dish held it's own, and could easily be consumed twice over for how delicious they were. The only thing we wish we had was a larger stomach to taste more of the menu! One of the best wine lists in LA, most notably their Riesling. You must have the Laab tots. Thai style meatballs. Could eat 50 of them. Scrumptious. Their fried chicken is too delicious. Comes with sticky rice. Papaya Salad had just the right amount of spice. Crab fried rice 🔥 Kampachi Tostada 🔥 Striped bass tacos were smashing. Order as many as you can. Grilled Black Sea Bream had magic sauce on it. Drunken noodles topped off the meal. Just the right amount for 4 people. They listen to Hip-Hop at this restaurant. Another bonus! Our good friend Skinny Pablo recommended this joint. We shall return!

A truly enjoyable omakase with wine pairing. We ordered the soft shell crab and crab fried rice along with the omakase. The wine pairing was excellent. Lots of good food so wear loose clothing.

I waited a month to get a reservation and it was worth the wait. Place is small but still comfy, the host was welcoming and our server was awesome. We order the Laab tot, 4 pork meat balls kinda crispy but juicy inside, lemony and a hint of spicy flavor and those crispy mint(?) leaves WOW!! Then we had the grilled black Sea Bream that was simply marvelous, to finish we enjoyed the massaman Curry beef with Russian bananas and nantes Carrots, it was a small portion because we shared all of our dishes 😋. Downsides (for my hubby) they only serve wine and he is a cocktail/beer guy, but we enjoyed two glasses of rosé. They didn't have any desserts last Sunday. They said it was due to delivery issues. Still we are giving 5 stars because we really enjoyed the food and service and want to go back to try other dishes...like the bbq pork collar and the fried chicken.
