Close to campus. Family friendly cafe with a Mediterranean flair. A little crowded on the weekends but well worth it if you happen to be driving through Northridge. Food is top notch!

Recommendations: Anything kabob, cesar wrap, salmon benedict

I love this place! Staff is always friendly and the food is just perfect 99% of the time. Try the chicken and brocolli crepes for breakfast or the Lahem Bazeen. For dinner get some fish or pasta. It's all good.

What a surprise!. We came here for lunch on a saturday. it's a very nice neighborhood cafe. the dining room is bright with table cloths and nice classical music playing. the food was a nice surprise! californian & middle eastern. we ordered the crab cakes and beef kabobs. delicious! starters: entrees came with a choice or soup or salad. which we ordered one of each. the salad was generous (almost a meal in itself) and the house dressing is creamy and yummy! the hubby enjoyed his vegetable soup. entrees: the crab cakes had a nice saffron sauce which was an unexpected twist. the beef kabobs were tender and perfectly marinated. both dishes came with mixed vegetables and a nice rice pilaf. the kids ordered pasta which was plentiful. we were truly delighted and will definitely be returning. they also serve breakfast and sandwiches which we can't wait to try!

It was my first time visiting this place. We came in for breakfast, and it was empty. We were greeted and seated right away. The gentleman attending our table was attentive and friendly. The food came out quick, I got their smoked salmon, and it was delicious. Their hummus was also great and fresh. There is plenty of parking available on the lot, overall excellent experience, and great food.

We were looking for a new breakfast place and decided to try Emle’s, since it’s so close to CSUN. Very friendly service and nice atmosphere. We were welcomed as a new guest and given recommendations from the menu. We were served breakfast Mimosas and a complimentary waffle for being first time guests. I ordered a crape with chicken and in was delicious. The menu was very expensive and everything looked so delicious.

I have recently discovered this place, and it is quickly becoming a favorite. I love the Veggie breakfast sandwich ! Service is always friendly and prompt, and portions are very generous. There is inside and outside sitting, and a parking lot. Highly recommend and will be back.

Nice spot. First time customers. Food was good. Nice presentation. Service was good even tho there was only one server. I had the Stuffed Frenchie. Loved it. My wife loved the Hawaiian Pancakes but couldn't even eat half of them. Our 16 yr old daughter has no taste buds so she got the Grilled Cheese off the kids menu.

I live in NC. I am visiting my folks here and I looked up top 10 breakfast places near me and Emle’s was highly rated. We arrived to a packed dining room for breakfast and were surprised by the vast menu. Everything looked delicious. We had a hard time choosing. We decided on the stuffed French toast, Greek omelette and breakfast burrito. Everything was delicious! We said to each other, “we will be back!” This is a hidden local gem 💎, that you should discover for yourself! Update: we have been back 2 more times! Dinner and lunch! We met Sam at dinner, We introduced ourselves and had a lovely chat with him. Our food was delicious. We enjoyed Shrimp with risotto, Tiger shrimp pizza, lemon caper chicken and a steak sandwich. We returned a few days later for lunch and were greeted by Sam who called us all by name! Impressive! Sal was our waiter. He was very friendly as well! We enjoyed the procutto and fig pizza topped with arugula (at my request!), the Greek omelette and eggs Benedict. All outstanding! The banana bread was delicious. We wanted to buy some for the team of nurses at Northridge ACUTE rehab center, but they didn’t have enough to sell us a loaf. Minutes later, Sal came out with a large loaf insisting we take it to the care givers!!!! They enjoyed that so much. We made them aware of Sal and Emle’s kindness in donating that to them. - Melissa from NC

This was our first visit and it did not disappoint my family and I. We enjoyed the wide selection of food choices and the pleasant, open atmosphere.

If you love breakfast this is the place to be as they serve breakfast all day long. We made reservations a few days prior so it's a nice option they have if you have a bigger group. I went with three of my girlfriends. The meals are all pictured below. They have a very extensive menu with lots of options. Everything looked so good that I did not know what to order. They definitely have an emphasis on Mediterranean cuisine as that is the theme of most of their dishes. The service was just okay, but they are probably overwhelmed with the amount of tables as they have a lot of seating and customers.

The food was good and they serve breakfast all day. There was some variety on the menu. The only thing I hated was I really love crepes and my crepe was hard and tasted like cardboard. All of my other food was good so I would still return. I really love potatoes and they did a good job on the potatoes.

The waiters were super attentive and came periodically asking if we needed refills or anything else. The food was also really good, for its quality I'd say it's slightly cheaper than other places. However, do expect to spend roughly $20 per person. Again, it is worth it for the quality of food. I got the California burrito with a side of garlicky breakfast potatoes. Really good.

Love anyplace that has all-day breakfast. The portions are reasonable with the price and the food was delicious. Will be going back to sample a little of everything 😁

EMIE'S RESTAURANT, a busy eatery, is well-known for it's breakfast menu. We went in the evening to try their Mediterranean, conventional/vegan menu. This is a comfortable eatery with bench seating and well separated tables. The decoration is Middle Eastern, with rock covered walls and plaster murals. Emle's food is light, not oily, salty, or saucy. Our server, Omer, did an excellent job explaining each dish. As an appetizer, we ordered the breaded and fried portobello mushrooms. It is served with a lovely garlic sauce. All four of us enjoy this vegan specialty. I found the vegan vegetable plate to be ample and satisfying. The house-made pita, served with the plate, is delicious. The other guests also enjoyed their meals, however, one guest found the lobster risotto too rich. One caution: the toasted bread slices served with the meal are vegan, however, the dip cantains cheese and is not vegan. There are no vegan desserts on the menu. UPDATE: Sam, the new owner, has polished the menu. Not a lot was changed. There's a new chef. Our meals tasted a smidgen better. Sam stopped at our table to make sure everything was fine. It was. We have returned several times since this review was first published. Emie's new chef and Sam have never disappointed. STUFF: Both patio and restaurant seating are available. Parking, including wheelchair parking, is free and easy. Everything else, including the neutral-gender bathroom, is wheelchair accessible. Emle's is near California State University. Students and faculty with ID cards, are offered a discount. On Sunday, Monday, and Thursday alcohol drinks are half price.

Didn't take pics this time, but, food, service and atmosphere were all great. This was our first time there, however, we have ordered many breakfasts for delivery. Our dinner in house was met with delicious, freshly prepared foods from vegan to pork chops to kids meal. We were also entertained by a talented keyboardist/pianist which elevated our experience. It's no wonder they have been a neighborhood fixture for so many decades!

Wonderful local place with a menu that has almost everything you can think of. Had the Breakfast sandwich and it was really such an amazing combination with the eggs, chicken, sun dried tomatoes and arugula making such a great combo. Coffee is really great and the service was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Outside seating was really nice and the music is a great mix with the volume not overpowering. Prices are great for a place so close to CSUN and I will definitely be coming back to explore the menu.

I know a lot of people love Emle's. I'm not sure why. There's nothing wrong with it, but there's also nothing that seemed special. My sandwich was tasty, but it's hard to mess up a chicken breast and sauce on a bun. The atmosphere was low key.

This place was a wonderful find! I went for breakfast with two friends and we just happened to pick this restaurant. I am so glad we did! The menu is packed full of great things, classic breakfast menu items, but also Mediterranean dishes such as the one I ordered. I'm sorry I don't remember the name of it but gosh, this was huge, and delicious!! I didn't think to size it at the time, but it was bigger than the plate - definitely larger than 8 inches. I couldn't even finish it! The service was wonderful, as well. Both the waitress and the other worker. They were attentive and so kind. We got to sit down immediately and didn't have to wait long before we got out food. It's a sit-down restaurant, but we could have been out in 30-45 minutes or less if we needed to rush. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who's remotely close-by. I sadly don't live in the area but you can bet I'll go if I'm in a 30 minute range! Give it a try and see how much you enjoy it 😊
