Hart’s Cafe

I have only eaten here once so I can't give a very thorough review of the food. But it is pretty standard dinner food. It is cheap but that makes me wonder why it's so cheap. But the really odd thing about this place is that it seems to open and close whenever they want to, something I've only observed in Europe. So I've only eaten there once, but I did try to go 2 other times, during normal business hours and both times it was inexplicably closed.

The guy that runs it after 6pm on Fridays was very rude. I had been walking down hollywood Blvd eating an ice cream cone and it left quite a mess on my hands and arms. So this was the first restaurant I spotted after finishing my cone. I walked inside and asked if there was a place i could wash my hands. The guy didn't even look at me. He kept staring at his phone while he responded "Starbucks down the block". Not only unprofessional but very rude. Can't rely on this place to be courteous enough to at least offer a cup of water will definitately not be coming back for a meal due to terrible customer service.

Must have caught these folks on a bad day. I came in for my first time today and ordered a chili cheese dog. I asked the older guy taking my order what all came on it and he kinda sarcastically said "chili and cheese". I'm a creative guy so I took at just as a moment to chuckle then reiterated my question as to see if he included grilled onions bcs you never know here in LA. He said yes, so I ordered. When I got the food I took my first two bites within seconds and noticed that the cheese was not hot. It was room temp to cool at best. I approached the counter and asked if the "cheese sauce" is usually hot bcs mine wasn't . He said it had to be because "we melt it." Lol. You don't melt cheese sauce you heat it up is what I thought to myself. His remedy was to put it in the microwave, I accepted & finished my meal. Over cooked bun and all. Maybe I gave him a bad vibe bcs the 3 white customers behind me got VERY VERY pleasant treatment. Me not so much. One customer even went on to point out the fact that the restaurant has a right to refuse service to anyone. It was like a side conversation between her and the old guy who took my order. I don't know any other reason for her to have said that other than me asking for hot cheese. I was almost apologetic to even ask for hot cheese lol. I never raised my voice & I don't curse at/with people outside of my friends. I was kinda amazed and saddened at the same time. Best of luck to everyone else.

I don't like negativity, and I have to warn people. This is no internet cafe. It is a cafe that has a wifi connection. There are no blocks of time for purchase, there are no outlets available for personal devices, there are no computers set up, and there is nothing else indicating that providing internet to patrons is among its primary services. If You are looking for a place to have coffee and get wifi on your phone, this may be a chill place for You. If You're looking for an internet cafe where You are expecting to have internet and connectivity services available, I encourage You to find another place to go; because Your needs will not be met here.
