3.75/5 for food but rounded up because the atmosphere and service was nice really good, recommend: - any mezcal cocktails -squash blossoms appetizer -chile Serrano green salsa & red salsas The chapulines (crickets) were tiny and too lime-y; the cecina in the tlayuda was dry, and the overall taste
I had the pleasure of having lunch at this Mexican restaurant, and I must say it was a delightful experience. We chose to sit outside on the terrace with my friends and it was very pleasant. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the ambiance felt tropical with high top tables and lush plants. The service
First time at this great Mexican restaurant. I really enjoyed the Beef Barbacoa plate. Comes with fresh, homemade tortillas, salsas, black beans. SUper flavorful. Drinks are fantastic 👌. They have an impressive Mezcal selection. Street parking is accessible. Happy hr mon-Friday, 3-6pm. Service
Loses a point for hard to eat food and bland flavors. Service was good but the bones in the barbacoa makes it difficult to eat. Needs a bit more seasoning overall. Atmosphere is good.
On a Friday night service is really slow but the food is really tasteful & rich. The drinks come out slow. It feels like there’s only 1 or 2 waiters for the whole restaurant & 1 bartender?
Wonderful service and great authentic food. This is authentic Mexican food that's full of seasoning and flavor. I definitely recommend stopping by during happy hour to try the smaller plates and order a bit of everything. (See menu attached) The staff is pleasant and polite. Outside seating is ava
I really went there for drinks so I can't really comment on the food, but I will say the guacamole and fresh chips were wonderful. The drinks were TOP TIER and you can actually taste the alcohol, not just juice. There was a nice little vibe there for 6:00pm on a Saturday. I will most definitely be r
Do they have a very beautiful patio with high top tables and lots of nice plants, it feels very tropical. The food was great, we had the elote which was awesome and came on a stick so it wasn't as messy as I had feared. The staff was very kind and we weren't drinking but I did note that they had a g
delicious! a little short staffed, but efficient. definitely try the chile relleno, fried quesadilla, all the different kinds of mole and ceviche. will be back to try the oysters!
My taste buds are still dancing after a visit to Madre Restaurant. The service is superb, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff that made us feel right at home. The food is a true culinary experience; the guacamole is the best I've ever had, and the carne asada is tender and full of flavor. The am
overall i really loved this place. we tried the froze and margarita for cocktails. i loved the froze, and the cocktails looked very well made which i don't really get to see at many mexican restaurants. we had fried quesadilla and potato & cheese taquitos; both were in fact really delicious but also
Great spot for Oaxacan food! We stopped for lunch and ordered the chicharrones, fried quesadilla, Madre mole enchiladas, and carne asada, and oysters. All the moles were packed with deep and complex flavor which complimented the meats inside the enchiladas. The carne asada was tender and well cooked
Great experience. The food is definitely the best of all the Oaxacan restaurants I've tried here in Los Angeles. They also have a good variety of mezcal. Must try: Chapulines Ostiones Quesillo Chorizo Chicharon Molcajete Plates to order: Palladia Oaxacan molcajete
Great drinks and appys - the tacos were a bit disappointing.
This restaurant is great for authentic food for carnivores/omnivores. My husband and son who eat meat loved their meals, pictured, hence 5 stars. I'm a vegetarian, so I appreciated the symbol next to their menu items that are vegetarian, but all of them were starters/small plates, and had cheese. Th
