Tartine bakes the best bread in the planet. Wowzers. Delicious bread, jam, breakfast, tartines, hot chocolate, and pastries. Mmmmmm. My favorite spot in LA.

Tartine at The Row in DTLA instantly became one of my favorite places for breakfast and lunch. I can’t recommend it enough! EVERYTHING is amazing. Get the morning bun to start with coffee (or oat milk lattee) from coffee manufactory. We also loved the smoked salmon tartine and the egg sandwich! Can’t wait to go back! Going to try to make it for the Alameda Supper Club in September!

Great service and delicious food. Must order the bread, shrimp and steak! Wine selection is pretty good as well.

The chocolate croissant and the bacon cheese and onion scones are excellent. Also their bread is amazing. One complaint is that they do not slice their bread when asked. Well Tartine serves bread slices to restaurant patrons, why not to people who buy the bread!?!?! I just want to avoid any kitchen accidents because I had to go to urgent care once because I got overambitious peeling a pear.

The best bakery in CA in my opinion. The bakery is in Row DTLA area. It’s comparably quiet during weekdays but when smogarsburg is going on it’s super crowded. But you dont have to worry about it they have a huge parking lot.
They have outdoor seating area so you can bring you kids and dogs too.

So, I wouldn’t say I LOVE this place- they definitely have some great breads... but the vibe is great here, industrial hipster feel with great shade on the patio.
The fried chicken sandwich was great- I wouldn’t die for it and it wasn’t the best I’ve had but I enjoyed my lunch. It was just a bit lonely coming out on a plate all by itself.
I tried my friends smoked salmon and wow- if you love cream cheese you’ll love this dish.
Prices are definitely high, $16 for a smoked salmon tartine as well as $16 for my sandwich but it isn’t for everyone
Service was on point although we did lose our server- or is it the thing now to have runners deliver your food? I’m used to it with asian restaurants but it’s a new experience for me at these type of modern bistros.. meh.

The Manufactory is part of Tartine in The Row DTLA and serves baked goods, ice cream, coffee, and more.
I ordered a cappuccino, ham & cheese croissant, and single scoop of ice cream. First, let me start with the negative: the cappuccino was very weak. I also ordered coffee at Dulce Dos nearby and that coffee was much better. The Manufactory needs to step up its coffee game.
But the croissant and ice cream were good. The croissant was buttery and flaky and had a decent amount of ham & cheese. The ice cream was really good! I first sampled the butter croissant and buffalo milk flavors, but didn't really care for them. Then I tried the blueberry geranium and it was amazing! It had such a rich and flowery flavor that was balanced well with the sweetness of the blueberries. I've tried hundreds of different ice cream stores around the world and this was honestly one of the best flavors I have ever had.
Parking is free everyday in the structure for the first 2 hours with validation. On Saturdays, parking is free for the first 2 hours even without validation.

Opening a 40,000 sq. ft. restaurant/bakery/pizzaria in a city with so many outstanding restaurants is gutsy. However when it's done by true bakers and restauranteurs, not much of a risk.
You'll be delighted by everything! Atmosphere, staff and.........the food......be ready to eat too much. After trying the pumpkin soup (perfect consistency, complex flavors sprinkles of sesame and pumpkin seeds with a drizzle of olive oil) , and some lemon flat bread (crispy outside, doughy inside, loaded with flavor), I headed straight for the bakery line. I wanted everything I saw and settled on an oatmeal porridge bread, some cookies and a perfectly proportioned lemon custard tart topped with meringue that was perfect in every way - thin, crisp flat cup of crust, tart lemon filling and the merengue like no other I've ever had - almost like toasted marshmallow with baked peaks, maybe it was!
Don't forget to get your 2 hr parking validation, the ROW DTLA garage is $10 as soon as you go over 1 hr.

Worth a drive. Parking is easy, and the food is as amazing as you've come to expect from Tartine, with the added bonus of Chris Bianco. Beautiful room too!

Disclaimer, this place is expensive. However, the food is truly beautiful, homemade original combinations. It’s not just the world famous bread that you come here for, it’s also the chicken liver pate with rhubarb and pistachio nuts, it’s the to die for chocolate chip cookies and it’s the California wines by the inch. The staff are on point, and the atmosphere is a charm. Do it, go here and indulge.
