Great staff, killer bread, great scramble (had the Villager), great oj but WORST potatoes ever!!! Mine were cold, even uncooked!!! Otherwise would have been a perfect brunch!!!
Love, love, love this place. The breads and desserts are amazing and I love their egg dishes. Thanksgiving sponsors my favorite meal and The Village does it right everyday with their "thanksgiving on a bun" lunch.
Love this bakery! I go here all the time and the only downside is they are so good they run out of the good stuff quickly but then if you go early there is a line. So literally the only down side is they are too delicious, LOL. They have vegan options here, the vegan croissants cannot be beaten. Since everything is made in-house, you can let them know your allergies and they can give you recommendations. Also, they can make any of the egg scrambles with tofu! It's not on the menu, but just let them know. Their veggie egg scramble with tofu (no egg) is seriously delicious. I also love their coffee, their lattes are just yum! I highly recommend giving this place a try even if the line is out the door!
Update: still the best! You always feel like family here <3
Great cappuccino, service at 3pm was good and quick. Man talking about his script out loud (Hollywood is 15 minutes away) Outdoor seating is noisy
Firstly,
the huge assortment of lovely pastries are particularly delicious and priced to sell out quickly…
Secondly,
I crave breakfast at the Village Bakery, not only for their Veggie Scramble (big enough to satisfy two), but the savery breakfast potatoes & the different choices of bread & butter are included!!
And,
I must say the people who take care of all the eager eaters are sweet & caring! “5 STARS”
A cute spot near the end of Atwater village close to the 5 freeway. First time going in, I was overwhelmed with the choices I had with the bakery section. I want to try everything they have. I started out with the flourless chocolate chip cookie, which was delicious. It’s a little gooey so if that’s not something you like, you have many other choices.
For food I got the breakfast burrito. I absolutely recommend. It is stuffed with egg, spinach, beans, cheese and potato. The potato is cooked just enough to be soft but have a bite to it adding a layer of texture to the burrito. It came with a hot sauce of some kind, also good. Their coffee is also of great quality. I will be back often.
They have many gluten free options and vegan options but not really any gluten free vegan options. I know that's harder to make but I believe they still have those options in the future. Corey, she was a sweetheart. Line can get long but it moves fast enough. There's a place in the back to post up your cards and flyers, which is a lovely touch I wish all restaurants had. Thank you! 💋
I've been coming here for years and it never disappoints. The staff is friendly, the food is amazing, and even the drip coffee is fantastic. It's a great spot to get holiday treats and sweets, too - right now it's October and they have so many adorable themed foods, from black cat macaroons to skeleton chicken pot pies! All their baked goods are fresh and imaginative, from their delicious baked donuts to their rosemary scones. I haven't tried a single thing from here that wasn't phenomenal.
I had the breakfast sausage scramble which was delicious. The coffee was a serve yourself carafe and was so good and hot! I have previously tied the pastries which are fresh and delicious. Overall a great place to eat!
I love this place. The service is great, perfect atmosphere and great coffee.
They have baked goods for every dietary. (Although the gluten free croissants mentioned in a different person’s review are gone, there are heaps of other tasty gluten free baked goods)
We were in LA for two night and got breakfast here both days - what else can I say!
This place is great and I go here often. I usually order the same thing, but they have a great selection of food, including lots of baked goods.
But the water cups they provide are absolutely tiny. They're miniscule. Smallest I've ever seen. I have to get up and refill them constantly. The only thing I would change about this place is swap out the cups for bigger ones.
Nice no frills spot with ample seating. The Atwater special breakfast was pretty good. The olive oil rosemary cake was delicious. Love that they work with the cat adoption company down the street 🤍
