Nagao - Los Angeles - Photo album

Love this place. Best Sushi. We come here often. The owner is a top sushi chef. Often crowded at lunch, but go early or late or for dinner. It is a small intimate place. Worth a drive or a wait. I especially like the seared tuna sashimi and any of the rolls. Freshest fish!
After many years I came back to Nagao and as expected, Everything was delicious. Very unique rolls - soy paper, cucumber wraps, Nagao special sauces, fish very soft and fresh tasting. We have albacore, yellow tail, salmon, spicy tuna. Highly recommend it, low key local and delicious!
Better than sugarfish in every way. Real selection Quality fish Miso soup Respectful and kind staff No rush to get you in and out of Rarely a wait Awesome lunch specials Price is very good, especially considering the quality. I recommend Nagao without hesitation
I come with friends atleast once a week when I am in town ...it is the best, freshest sushi on the westside and we love the spicy tuna cut roll and the spider roll as well as nagaos special vegetable salad... I do not want Nagao to leave! But, he deserves to take a break and enjoy his life.... th
Haven't been in the area in years...it was a must stop on our way to the airport...food was incredible as always. The sushi chef, Shige, was great and attentive , as was the waitresses. Unfortunately, I did not get to see my old friend Nagao... but now I need to get out there again!!!
This is the best sushi in LA. A quiet little restaurant bordering Brentwood and Santa Monica. Nagao (owner/sushi master) is there every night grinding away, telling great stories, and of course making fantastic sushi. Sashimi is top tier. Fish quality 5/5. Owner/Management 5/5.
1/1/2016: This place was recently set as permanently closed by Google, but I'll tell you it's not. I just ate lunch there yesterday and go there at least once a week. It's my favorite Sushi. Absolutely love the Tempura #2, moonlight rolls and lemon box, then again, I haven't had anything I didn't li

I was turned on to this place yesterday by some friends. This was THE best sushi and sashimi I have ever had. The octopus salad was great too!
Get everything soy wrapped as the pieces are larger than other sushi places, but Chef Nagao is almost always present and we really enjoy his sushi. Sit at the bar
