Actual 5 stars. Drinks and atmosphere are great. Pretty large variety of bottles at the bar. Came here for the drinks so didn't get food but dang it looks good. Next time!

Wonderful, friendly staff and yummy food make L.A.'s first walk up bar a fun place to go. Indoor and outdoor seating with a private area upstairs with it's own bar too. Go here before a show at Crypto down the street. You can park your car right across the street in a parking structure too. Management, bar staff and security are all amazing people!

Great food selection and adult beverage selection is pretty big. Pranks outdoor seating is the main appeal, in my opinion and it’s a very good spot for a date.
The music is not too loud and it’s a great spot to just have a meal with a chill drink while people watching. A lot of foot traffic from Crypto Center/LA Live area. Definitely a good spot to stop by before an event to pregrame. I’ve had their drinks and their Moscow Mules are real good.
***Update***
Tried their brunch menu and had their Caesar Salad with chicken and a side of salmon. The chicken was tender and the salmon was seasoned/cooked perfectly.
The sliders with fries is delicious along with the shrimp skewers.

The taco trio is amazing (I ordered one taco of each kind; the three were very good, but the beef taco was my favorite). The watermelon splash was very good too

I would have to put this with my top ten to go bars to go to after work, my first time going out alone by myself and I have a good time. Good lighting, good drinks, staff are funny and friendly, just loved the environment.

Cool spot! Was in town for the Nike 3on3 Tournament and saw this place did brunch. Service is all through the bar and nothing really table side. You order at the bar and then it's brought out to you. If you're looking for a full service brunch, you'll need to go elsewhere. Still good overall. Nice open patio seating. Got a burrito and split a waffle. Both were pretty good. Nice cocktail menu.

Nice corner spot. We arrive early to be able to have an outside table. Dinner I guess starts at 4pm - I am not used to having to order at a bar. Typically waiters come to your table and take your order. So, yeah I prefer that way of dining.
Food was good though, my fiancé enjoyed their jalapeño burger. He said it was good. He also ordered a glass of Chardonnay. You know, Chardonnay is Chardonnay nothing special about it.
I had their vegan nachos which was delicious too. Tacos good too.
There wasn’t a lot of people for it to be a Saturday. Nice to have dinner without a lot of noise. We had dinner before heading to the Dodger game which’s the reason we arrived early.
We will probably return at a later time just to see their full ambience when there’s a lot of people, just to experience the full potential of Prank Bar.
Not to mention, I would like to tryout a few more items on their menu.. Speaking of the menu, everything is very affordable.
Be prepared to pay $20 for parking across the street or down the street. Which we opted out of. No way we’re paying that to eat for an hour. Park on the street, cheaper.

Honestly I feel like they have the best ravioli I’ve ever tasted, went for happy hour the drinks were solid, the food was really good. I would give them five stars but their math on the tip was so wrong, lol 10/10 would recommend because the food was all good and the drinks were great but do your own math, I tip 20% and they were off with there math

I almost gave this place a one-star for how irritated I was when we first arrived. We were a party of four, and we told the guy at the front, and he said "oh, we have a wait" I said well, how long is the wait? His reply was "Ionno, whenever someone leaves." I was ready to turn around and go someplace else and quickly rate them a 1 star. BUT the dude was being sarcastic (I hate sarcasm), and we were sat within 5 mins.
When we were seated, we scanned the QR code to view the menu and had to order our food and drinks at the bar. Hubby and I decided to get the el pastor nachos, blue tortilla steak tacos, a mojito, and a Passion flower. The drinks were ready within seconds, and our food arrived within 15 mins.
The tacos were delicious! I’m sad we only ordered one for each. The nachos were pretty tasty as well. I really enjoyed my Passion flower drink, but they messed up on hubby’s drink, but he said it was still good.
Overall, Prank is a chill walk-up bar that offers tasty bar food and tasty drinks. If I’m back in DTLA, I’ll for sure come back for more tacos!

Excellant! My pasta was so good! Their portions are quite generous! My friend had the steak salad and a side of fries and it was huge and very yummy. They have been on tbat corner for a long time whereas restaurants on the opposite corners have come and gone. Prank is doing something right!
