The workers very nice and let me substitute the options on my bowl with their pulled pork (weekend special)

Food was so good we ordered more after we were done. Many different tacos to choose from, nachos were great. Nice specially margaritas! Cool outside seating. Definitely will be a ascend visit next time I am in the area!

The drink selection was decent, good ciders. Michilada was ok. The calamari was delightfully prepared without being over breaded, it was nicely seasoned and paired with a tangy butter lemon sauce and there were several peppers too that added a nice flavor with little to no spice. The Bananarama dessert it light, creamy and full of flavor. Looking forward to coming back to try more items off the menu because everything we ordered and tried was worth reordering and all the other food that came out looked and smelled amazing!
This place has the best food I've had in southern California so far. Their Mexican food is amazing. All sauces are house made and taste incredible. The owner is also incredibly nice and welcoming. If you are in Venice for any reason, eat here.

Canteen style Mexican joint with superb food and drinks. Emphasis on BBQ style cooking - the barbacoa beef is a must. Terrific atmosphere with simple “order at the window” style service. Owner Oscar is a Venice legend. Classic car meet ups take place here weekly so you often get to check out some beautiful rides with your meal. One of those rare places that’s equally suited to a quick lunch bite or late evening meal. Superb. Oh, and try the mother salsa.
Great place for ceviche! We stopped by on our way to The Venice West for a concert. We wanted a quick bite before getting there. The fish 🐠 ceviche was wonderful. We also had the shrimp ceviche and the house salad.
It hit the spot. You can also order Margaritas, and other drinks.
Nine dollar spicy margaritas, $11 OG taco plate, jalapeño buttermilk biscuits.. makes this place an oasis in dLDowntown, VB. Great food. Not pricey. Definitely will come back. And it's not only the food, but weirdly enough.. the Feng shui of this place is ideal. Great music too. And I want to thank Oscar, the owner! Very personable! He asked us to move for a party of 6, which we gladly did - no problem. Oscar gave me a free spicy margarita for it. Which I gladly accepted.. yum!
