Blockheads Shavery - Los Angeles - Photo album

I love shaved ice! This place has lots of flavors. I tried the green tea flavor and it's pretty strong. Sweet but not too sweet. I love love love their homemade rice balls! It's soft, sweet, and chewy! I would come back again.
I am getting a small green tea snow cream. They say that the snow cream is shaved ice cream made in small batches with natural cane sugar and fresh ingredients. The mini isn’t even mini. Look at this. This is like a extra large plus at other ice cream places. However, I suspect that most of it is a
First experience Taiwanese shaved ice cream n I love it ! There are 2 sizes Regular and small, even smaller size was enough to share with my friend ! 75cents to add topping so I added red beans and shiratama . I can't wait to try more flavors and toppings !
Yummy snowy shaved ice with delicious toppings, at a reasonable price.. my only complaint would be that the regular size is so big! I recommend the classic combo of green tea with red bean, mochi, and condensed milk.
Blockheads Shavery is the perfect place to get your fix with cute desserts. They have Japanese cult favorites like macarons and shaved ice cream with an abundance of fun toppings. Don't be a blockhead and miss out on Blockheads. This is basically the chicken shawarma of ice cream, complete with a
This place has some of the best shaved snow. The green tea and black sesame are my favorites. They just melt in your mouth and taste almost as creamy as actual ice cream. Many toppings to choose from. There is always a line however and limited seating. It's great for sharing as the cup can be huge.
So I have been here a few time and I have to say this place has good good good flavor. The shaved ice is snow flake and once you go snow flake, you don't go back to Hawaiian style unless you are in a jam on a hot hot hot day and there is only Hawaiian style. This soft, ice cream like snow flake is s
I would give this a lower score, but I think it would be unfair. This place sells iced milk with toppings. They do a really good job of that. I just don't like iced milk that much. Basically they have a couple of types of iced milk that they freeze into blocks. You order a flavor and some toppings.
Their shaved ice is amazing! They have very reasonable prices and huge portions. I ordered the large green ice combo, and it was enough for 5 people. The regular is probably enough for about 3 people. Great service, and not a long wait. Would definitely recommend!
Place was super cute but like you would expect very Asian. Love the fact that they make their own ice cream bars -- thought it was a cute idea. They didn't let us sample their shaved ice but our cookies and cream choice did not fail is. The texture was very smooth and melted right in your mouth. W
SHAVED ICE has never tasted so good. I love this place and it is definitely one of my favorite dessert spots. I have never had such a thing as this shaved ice until I found out about this spot. I mean, I have had snow-cones and icees, but this ice is out of this world. I would have given it a 5 star
There's nothing better on a beautiful LA day than sitting outside with delicious shaved ice and pick-your-own toppings. Great addition to the Sawtelle stretch.
Go here when you want a cool treat that is lighter (and healthier) than ice cream! My favorite so far is the black sesame, I couldn't really taste taro but most of the deliciousness comes from the toppings and condensed milk. The sizes are somewhat reasonable albeit pretty pricey at 4.50 for regular
Great place for shaved ice! The shaved ice is shaved very finely. The texture of the ice once it is in your mouth taste chewy. It taste nothing like snow coned ice. The flavors of shaved ices are: green tea, strawberry, black sesame, and original. You can pick the pre-made combo ones or create your
Honestly it's a neat idea to have shaved ice cream with toppings. Pretty fun place that's rather small, but the portion size is not. Had the Strawberry and it was good, but didn't have that much strawberry flavor at all. It's a fun place. A little loud as well.
After dinner in Little Osaka, my friend took me to Blockheads as she was raving about the shaved ice. There was already a line outside the door as I was told it gets pretty busy. We ordered the green tea shaved ice with red bean and glutinous rice cakes. For what you pay, I would say the regular siz
A unique twist on shaved ice, it's more or less shaved cream. Comes out in light fluffy little ribbons and is such a delicious treat. The portions are decently sized and you can definitely split one with an SO. Love coming here for dessert since there really is no other place like it.
