El Cochinito Restaurant - Los Angeles - Photo album

Really cute atmosphere of a hole in the wall type of restaurant but with some solid and good Cuban food and sides. I had the Cubano which was just a Cuban sandwich but ingredients were fresh and solid. I enjoyed my experience there. Would definitely be coming back
100/10. Every single time I’ve been here it’s like a trip to my childhood, back to my grandmas house. The food is so flavorful in all the right ways, it’s not the typical comercial flavor or dishes, these taste homemade and made with love, it’s a warm hug to my heart. And the people are so nice and
Small hole in the wall that has some good gems on the menu. Their ham croquetas might be the best I’ve ever eaten. An absolute must-try starter. Papas frites were better than I expected! Reminds me of just good burger joint fries. The cubano was fantastic. From the perfectly buttered and toast
Absolutely delicious. Forgive me for not knowing the names…we were quickly sat after being greeted by super friendly staff. Water and bread was our first taste of the freshness of this wonderful restaurant. I chose the “fried rice” with ham, shrimp and other deliciousness. Yummmmm. The slow roasted
The best Cuban food I have had in Los Angeles. I was raised in San Diego, so Cuban food is a bit newer to me than other cuisines, like Mexican, or seafood, but over the last decade or so, I have really grown to love it. It’s really small and quaint on the inside and admittedly parking can be a pain
I finally found a Cuban restaurant that is authentic! My Cuban heart is happy! My only minor disappointment is the Ropa Vieja. The flank steak was good except it was too watery. There should barely be any sauce at all and definitely the sauce is thicker - more flavorful onto the actual steak itself
We love this place! The food is absolutely amazing. We love the chicken soup and slow roasted pork, and the favor of cubano sandwiches is perfectly balanced.
I was brought here by a friend and walked away having had one of the best meals of my life. We had the chicken, pork, side orders of plantains and an appetizer of a dipping sauce that was similar to hummus. I was floored and the rich flavors of my pork, perfectly cooked, juicy and tender. The inter
Thank you very much like always. The food delicious and it’s very authentic. The servers are very friendly and know how to offer new food. The wine selection is great as well.
Was driving in LA and my mother in law wanted to take me to one of her favorite place. My first time here and definitely will not be my last! The minute we walked in until the minute we walked out was a wonderful experience. The guy who helped was so attentive and sweet. The food was amazing. The b
I had been craving a Cubano sandwich and was near this place when lunch rolled around so I gave it a try. There is decent parking (for lunch at least). Their converted patio made for a nice place to sit. And the Cubano sandwich I had was excellent. They have a nice menu and if I wasn't looking for a
The restaurant has been open since 1988! That should already tell you how iconic the spot it. Despite that I went first time last night! And God..the food was so good. We ordered the breaded chicken breast and roasted chicken...yum!!! The crew is super super nice and they give you their best recomm
I’m pretty sure this is the best meal I’ve ever had. My partner couldn’t believe the faces I was making while eating the slow roasted pork. We went back a second time for Cubano sandwiches and both times were incredible. Like not over exaggerated, legit incredible. I’m glad I stumbled upon this plac
Never had a bad dish here. My favorites includes the house specialty (ropa vieja) with a side of sweet plantains and their Cuban sandwich.
I had the ox tail (Rabo encendido). It's a special (probably a weekend only entree) that isn't normally on the menu, I can only assume it's too popular because of the demand. It's one of the best ox tails I've had, if not the best. The meat was rich, tender, and full of flavor. Don't skip out on t
Cute decor, great food and plenty leftovers 😋. Really enjoyed fried rice, both beef n chicken steaks and croquettes.
One of the best sandwiches I’ve had in LA. The most tender pork you could imagine nestled between two slices of toasted bread and baked plantains mixed in. Simple dish, amazing result. Their flan was also stupendous with a hint of burnt sugar, just the way it should be. Would definitely return!
