Gumbo Pot - Los Angeles - Photo album

This southern style joint has delicious food and friendly staff. It's located inside the farmers market and when we went it was the weekend before fat Tuesday so there was music and festivities. We got the seafood jambalaya and chicken gumbo and was superb.
Went early on a Saturday morning and beat the crowds whoo hoo! Ordered the crawfish etoufee with cornbread and a side of sweet potato chips and the rice and beans with a side of shrimp jambalaya. Everything was flavorful and the portions were generous! The crawfish was really sweet and tasty. The bo
Service was friendly and efficient. The place was clean and well organized. Food prep was prompt. I had red beans and rice without the rice. I almost always order red beans and rice without the rice when I eat at the Gumbo Pot. It was delicious. If you like authenic New Orleans cuisine, I highly r
OK. Cornbread is moist. But, the crawfish po’ boy is advertised as fresh and it doesn’t taste it at all. The sandwich is dry and lifeless but easily touched up from tartar and hot sauce upon request. The red snapper salad would have tasted better if I made it. All in all, it was ok.
I ordered the blackened salmon Po Boy with a cup of gumbo and cornbread. I watched the cook cook a fresh piece of salmon blackened on the grill for my sandwich. The staff were able to make my sandwich get my cup of gumbo and cornbread to me in a very timely manner. The blackened salmon Po Boy is exc
The food here is simply awesome. I've been here on two separate occasions and both times they have impressed me. Had the Shrimp and Chicken Sausage and vegetarian collard greens. For dessert I had the pumpkin bread pudding. Each item was full of flavor with ample portions! It is worth the trip!
Such a great restaurant at Farmer’s Market! Today was my first time eating at The Gumbo pot and it was Excellent! The Gumbo Ya Ya was so delicious & the cornbread muffin was a perfect match! I also got the potato salad as my 2nd side dish and it was tasty as well! We ordered beignets and they we
been there twice, i tried seafood gumbo on my first visit and I really loved it, then i re-visited for gumbo yaya. but, it wasn't good as my first visit. the sweet potato apple salad and the corn bread were amazing on both visits tho.
Located Inside the Farmers Market at the Grove. This was my first time visiting both venues, and I have to say that it was such a nice alternative to the regular food options available. I got the blackened snapper poboy with sweet potato chips (homemade) and beignets. Everything was dee-licious!!
Food was amazing! When I'm in the area I'm going back. I had their catfish po'boy, one sandwich is plenty for 2 people but it was so good I ate the whole thing! Fried okra, delicious! Fresh oysters, so good! Price was good.
