Simpang Asia - Los Angeles - Photo album

Amazing food, quality service, all at the right price. My first time trying Indonesian food and I wasn’t sure I was going to like it, but to my amusement it was spot on. We ordered several dishes and every single one of them was just awesome. Even the roti was amazing and the curry that came with it
Service was great. The food was delicious. We ordered lumpia, and two of the traditional plates which are what the servers recommended. Everything was so tasty. You really have to get down and dirty and eat the chicken with your hands but it’s part of the whole experience. The fried chicken part of
The food here is legit southeast asian; the flavours are excellent. We had the nasi goreng jawa, ikan bakar, kangkong, and vietnamese iced coffee. Mildly spicy for southeast Asian standards. Highly recommend
A pleasant Thai experience with authentic items and flavors but it falls short in some areas. Parking is a very tiny and busy lot so during busy times you'll have a better chance just going to the streets nearby. The outside area can get a little be chaotic and jank as well. Service was fine and un
This was my first experience with Indonesian food, and it was fantastic. The service was attentive, and friendly. Staff were able to make any customizations needed as well. Absolutely delicious, and would recommend (:
This is our family's go-to for Halal Indonesian food. We love the food. Our only critique is recently the portion sizes for each dish has gotten smaller. I understand if it's due to inflation but if I knew before I would have ordered more. Usually our 6 dishes (for 2 adults and 2 kids) gives us l
Simpang Asia is my favorite Indonesian café in Los Angeles. Food is delicious and authentic, it’s comfort food. The best is to come with a group and share food family style! Every time I come here, it’s always a feast and would order about everything on the menu. Definitely order the traditional
Had laksa and Nasigoreng jawa. Both were great. If you are into spicy food, order nasigoreng jagger. Great atmosphere.
Food was mostly really good and presentation was solid. The migoreng was amazing. My only issue is they don't remove the stems from their green beans. It's a big pet peeve of mine so have to mention it. But I would still recommend this place.
Simpang Asia serves authentic and flavorful Indonesian food in the heart of west LA. Their menu is expansive and teleports you to Southeast Asia with their bold and distinct flavors. 🍽️Ordered: 1. Char kway teow 2. Nasi Bungkus 3. Chicken sate 4. Roti Paratha 5. Garlic string beans This meal was A
Roti paratha is an essential pick - 9/10 Croquettes were great - 8/10 Nasi goreng jawa had the perfect amount of spice - 8.5/10 Would not recommend the thai iced tea or the vietnamese iced coffee - 5/10
Amazing Indonesian food, everything we got was delicious and well presented. Comfortable and casual outdoor seating. Friendly service. The grilled fish is superb, vegetables was delicious, festival Rice is a festive combination, and roti is never enough!
It was our first time trying Simpang Asia on this trip to LA. We started off with their highly recommended Roti Paratha, a flaky bread with a curry dip, for our appetizer. Matched it with their Es Cendol, a pandan jelly and coconut milk iced drink. For vegetables, we had Cah Kangkung, which was so
We ordered the Nasi Lemak, Nasi Kuning, and Kuey Teow Goreng. The food was delicious and very authentic to Indonesia and Malaysia. Take it from someone who has traveled to and eaten there many times!
Good food and everything tasted very nutty! Tried Indonesian food for the first time and really enjoyed it. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and there was no wait for indoor sitting however the outside sitting area was full. Service was fast and smooth. Loved the variety they put in each plate! Defi
Savoury, close to authentic taste, ok-ish portion, friendly staff, nice ambient, decent waiting (cooking time), somehow it's too creamy, and it's pricey.
Very impressed! A fancy Indonesian restaurant with warm ambience and quick service. The food is not too heavy at all, while the portion for the price is incredible. The menu has covered all kinds of Indonesian dishes with some other Asian cuisine twist. Will definitely come back for more!
It's been a while since I visited this restaurant again. The renovation was great, but I miss the old no frills atmosphere of this place. Food is still delicious! You can't go wrong with any dish from the menu. Though the chicken satay is smaller portion compared before. I guess it is inflation 🤣
