Menu is full of options it will satisfy your hunger by all means, I haven't had the chance to try the fried portions but the charbroiled was from another world,
Just go there and try it, oh it's not a fancy place and that's the it's magic
This was a nice dive. Amazing fish options. Baked, broiled, and fried. There were almost too many options. The staff was quick and friendly. The food was amazing, although, the fries seemed like an afterthought... But those aren't why you'd be coming here. Outside seating, so keep that in mind before making your trip.
I usually never eat fish or seafood. Family been eating here since forever. I went to try it and really try some seafood. Had the grilled salmon. And really it was good! Really fresh! The place gets very busy and the service is just perfect. Pair the salmon with their Cajun sauce, garlic sauce etc. I may try some other types of seafood there as they have a vast menu! Recommended
Downtown gem. Who would've thought you could find a bustling fisherman's outlet with outdoor seating in the middle of downtown? The workers here are all shouting orders at one another in what seems to be an organised chaos. The menu is mind boggling, and looking at the plates that are being plated out it seems almost impossible to make a choice. Didn't get to try the fried items on this occasion, but had a good sampling of the items under the charbroiled section. Had the charbroiled swordfish with rice, a tasty garlic butter sauce, with rice and a fresh pineapple salsa. The fish couldve been less cooked but i still enjoyed it, also had the giant combo of grilled shrimp and scallop with a spicy cajun sauce. So the food here is by no means refined seafood, but its fresh and cooked simply and its somewhere id return often.

Fisherman's Outlet = Good Grub!. Okay, so I know "jumbo" shrimp is an oxymoron. But what do you call a "holy-moley-that-shrimp-is-freaking-huge" … shrimp? Let's just settle with the "Fisherman's Outlet" shrimp … because on this week's journey through the enchanted forest of GRUB, we loaded up our fishing nets, met up with our GRUB-buddy Teresa C. and gone fishing at The Fisherman's Outlet in downtown LA. But before I lose you on the seafood potential of a shop located smack dab in the middle of an industrial part of downtown, right up against the concrete LA river (where might I add, the fishies must be biting pretty good) … just trust me, THIS PLACE IS FREAKING AMAZING!
We got a little lost on our way down there, so follow these simple directions. Step 1) Look it up on Google Maps (seriously, you're just getting lazy if you want me to give you all the details). Step 2) Head down Central Ave. in downtown LA until you hit this out-of-place, row of seafood eateries and wholesale markets in the aforementioned industrial setting. Step 3) I can't say this with 100% certainty, but avoid every place that doesn't have fifty people in line on a Saturday at 2PM. Follow our easy three step method and you'll be chowing down on some of the best seafood you've ever had … or your money back (offer not valid in any of the contiguous 50 states. And if you can find this place in Alaska … the money is all yours).
But seriously people, this place is legit. We went with the suggestion of Teresa and grabbed a plate of the charbroiled giant shrimp. But like we hinted to above, giant is an understatement. Andre is giant. The BFG is giant. These are not just giant … they are HUMONGO. The plate also comes with a heaping helping of french fries, cole slaw, a side of cocktail and hot sauce, and the real pièce-de-résistance … a cup of warm, melt-away-all-your-problems, Fisherman Outlet's very own … garlic butter.
And as I pulled apart these giant gems from the ocean, squeezed on a little lemon juice, cut off a huge hunk and dunked it in my own combination of hot sauce and garlic butter … I couldn't help from letting out a few verses from Little Mermaid's "Under The Sea." We got ourselves an order of ceviche and chips to start off this tastebud tango … but really it was the shrimp (aka mini-lobster) that really sent our head spinning.
So as it nears lunch time again, I am viciously fighting the urge to head back for round two. I mean, it would be great … but there's so much GRUB that needs GRUBBING. So until next time, go grab your harpoon and head out on the hunt for the great white shrimp down at the Fisherman's Outlet. It's way better than discounted Coach purses or OshKosh B'gosh overalls, because at this outlet they're selling GRUB!
Charbroiled or breaded and fried, the seafood here is delicious. I liked the seabass and halibut with salad or rice. But be warned, you might not be able to stop eating the shrimp, scallops and catfish. Also the fries and tilapia are worth trying.

You want all manner of fish. You want it fried. Chargrilled. Salmon. Shrimp. Maybe some lobster. Chowder is a must. Also some fries. And slaw. You want to come in a t-shirt and flip flops and sit at a picnic table and eat from paper plates. And you want it to be delicious.
Hands down absolutely nothing but good quality fresh fish, services was amazing on point. Customer service was very helpful and professional. Can't wait to come back for lunch again. Thank you!

The seafood here is amazing! It is so fresh and the portions are very large. The food is definitely reasonably priced. I ordered the Giant Shrimp and Giant Scallop with French fries and coleslaw. I also ordered the calamari plate. The fries and coleslaw were extremely tasty and I was very full at the end of my meal. The garlic herb sauce was a great addition and it fit the dish well. I have been here a couple of times and will come back whenever I drive to LA.
The food is good with good size portions. Have been coming here for a while and it never disappoints. My go to is the fish and shrimp. I would say it's probably enough food for two. There's a good amount of parking in their lot, some street parking. There's a good amount of seating but it does get pretty full around lunch time.
This seafood restaurant exceeded all my expectations! The service was top-notch – attentive without being intrusive, and the waitstaff's knowledge of the menu was impressive. They accommodated my dietary preferences with grace. The food, oh my! It was a seafood lover's dream come true. The oysters were plump and briny, the shrimp scampi burst with garlic goodness, and the seafood paella was a masterpiece. Each bite transported me to the coast. Ambiance-wise, the restaurant strikes the perfect balance. It's refined yet approachable, making it suitable for both special occasions and casual outings. The ocean view from our table was the icing on the cake, creating a serene backdrop for our meal. I can't recommend this seafood gem enough – a must-visit for anyone craving a seafood adventure!
Once you order you don’t wait long at all for the food. The line goes fast. Definitely worth any wait. This isn’t your ordinary fish n’ chips COME TRY IT! Been coming here since I was a little girl. Love this place and highly recommend it!
Always packed but with good reason! Their food is delicious and worth the wait. Even if you can't find a place to sit down, take it to go. I recommend the Lobster Bisque, the Fried shrimp and scallop plate with rice as the side. Buy the Cajun sauce for the rice and to dip your stuff. Also - Their cocktail cups are amazing
The clam chowder is some of the best I have ever had. The food is very good and the price for the portions is unbelievable. There is a variety of seafood and different ways that it is prepared.. I ordered a grilled lobster tail and it was so big I could not eat all of it so I had a great lunch the next day.
Very quick service! People were nice! Food is fresh and has a simple seafood flavor that you can add to as you desire. Lemon, garlic butter, cocktail sauce....DELICIOUS! Grilled prefectly!
Delicious fast seafood in a casual patio setting, prices and quality are on the high side, portions and comfort not so much, but a great choice for lunch downtown and fresh selections for your own preparation.
