Baroo - Los Angeles - Photo album

Had a reservation at the bar and loved the dinner. Perfect portion sizes to leave you full but not stuffed. Every course was fantastic and I really loved the banana milk punch cocktail. Service and overall vibe was awesome. Will definitely recommend and come back!
Celebrated our anniversary at baroo and loved it -- the food was some of the most thoughtful I've had in a while in LA, the flavors and textures incredibly nuanced. The cocktails were innovative and delicious (still thinking about these). And the service! So nice. Kind, friendly, and personal (we we
Spectacular dinner in a wonderful space. Baroo really is a must visit when in LA if you appreciate quality cooking and food. The tasting menu, while thoughtfully curated and detailed by individual members of the team for each course, left me feeling FULL (which is rare for a smaller tasting menu) an
Every bit and part of our tasting menu experience was absolutely delightful. From bite one to every cocktail we shared around the table, I was elated with the bits of childhood I was able to taste. Not many Korean restaurants can provide this type of experience for me even though we live in LA whe
Baroo is a restaurant I've been dying to support... ever since @the_thejgold first reviewed them gloriously... but even more so for what they are doing for the Korean food cuisine as a whole. I easily convinced my brother's that Baroo would most definitely be awarded some elusive stars soooooon...
Pleasantly surprised with the chef cooking. Korean food elevated is the best description. Chef Kwang and his team's flavors and textures balances are on point. The crunch added via the tinniest amount of fried something or other makes each bite delicious. Only a 7 course tasting is served with litt
Baroo in Los Angeles is truly a culinary gem that I am absolutely thrilled to see back in action. Even though they are softly opening and haven't introduced their soju-inspired cocktails yet, the experience remains unparalleled. Nestled right next to the iconic Hauser and Wirth in the heart of the a
FAN-TAS-TIC service. Cannot recommend Baroo enough for a night out, special occasion, whatever. The food and drinks were so great with the star of the show Remain In Between course with Short Rib. UNREAL
We loved our meal at the new Baroo! Lovely service and really delicious food.
Stellar tasting menu with at least 3 stand outs for us (the soup, the ‘taco,’ and the melon pana cotta from heaven) which is a rare treat. Can’t wait to go again! One of my new favorite restaurants in LA - amazing through and through, thank you
When Baroo started out in a rundown strip mall, and then went to Union Swapmeet, it was already clear that it was something special. The food was so unfamiliar yet utterly delicious. The food is not innovative just for its own sake. That is still true, even though the experience of Baroo is now com
One of the best, if not the best, meals I've eaten in Los Angeles. Poetic story telling through food, thoughtful, every bite considered. Quintessentially Baroo flavors and ferments; no-one is cooking like this. Perfect portioning for a lovely set menu, can't wait to go back again and again.
Amazing flavors. Usually, I am wary of "fusion" or "spins" on Korean food, but Baroo well exceeded all expectations. To boot, the chefs are so nice (and guessed that I was a traveling consultant. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but gotta give them props regardless)!Shhh... don't tell
Wow! This place is very unique. The space is very unassuming (no external sign, strip mall location). The guys cooking will take a break to get your order, so you may wait. The food is crazy delicious. The non-traditional Bolognese pasta is my favorite of all time - including the many plates of the
As soon as we stepped through the door, nostalgic Korean music flooded our ears, infusing beautifully with the soft, cozy ambiance. Baroo is known for their creative, upscale takes on modern Korean cuisine, so each bite becomes a game of identifying the different flavors that play on the taste buds
Phenomenal restaurant with a great eclectic mix of cuisines using Asian flavors as a base. We had the oxtail ragu, kimichi fried rice and pickled veggies, definitely go back and excited to see what they'll come up with next. Simple restaurant that's all about the organic fresh ingredients.
I really loved the new restaurant. The food was of amazing. My most favorite dishes was corn, apple, celery & cucumber , fermented corn & red yeast, makageolli, nduja, gouda, pichuberry and Hokkaido scallop, minari, grim, rice puff and fried gaejang local soft-shell crab, sea buckthorn, lettuce wrap and
Amazing food. This is a weekly Kind of place. Korean French fusion. Organic and super delicious. Small quaint little ktown joint. Incredible food at an amazingly affordable price. It’s outrageous. Almost illegal. ORGANIC, LOCAL, outstanding. A must go and eat lunch or dinner. Take all out of towners
If you're a vegan or vegetarian, but a dedicated foodie too, this is your destination. I had read the restaurant had amazing pickled and fermented foods. I was not disappointed. We both enjoyed house made kombucha, then we had the seasonal cold melon soup. I could have swallowed a gallon of it.
