The staff greeted us and brought out chips and salsa immediately. We got nachos and soup to start, a round of margaritas, and then fajitas. Food was served sizzling hot and with everything you could need right in front of you. Best restaurant in the city hands down we adored this place!
Impromptu stop after work. I decided to take advantage of their $1 number one combo deal for their 100-year anniversary celebration.
It's my first time at this location. Parking is ridiculously expensive due to their proximity to the crypto arena. $30 to park next to the restaurant is a crime. Luckily, we were able to find street parking for $2.50, so that was good.
The food was on point with very good flavors. The taquito was especially good. I was hesitant to eat it as it's not a typical item for me, but I'm glad I tried it. It was soft, and the filling was packed with flavor.
We were seated and served in record time. The server was attentive. Overall, it was an excellent experience all around.
Definitely Americanized Mexican food. Tasty food, but in a city with a rich history of Mexican food, rather bland. Dishes are named and very historic which is interesting, but doesn't add to flavor, which I found a bit lacking compared to other sit down Mexican places. Still very tasty for its location in LA. Recommend the Santa Barbara enchiladas and guacamole spiced to spicy
I tried the carnitas lunch menu item. I thought the food was just ok, lacking in flavor & under-salted. Service and atmosphere were good.
Amazing . We love this place food is so so tasty. You have to go
We were there for a holiday lunch with close to 25 people. The chips, salsa and guacamole were great. Food was lukewarm but it was a large party. The service, however, was fantastic. Again, large party.
Parking was easy in the lot next to the restaurant (closer to 11th) for $20 (cashless kiosk).
Loved it. Old historical restaurant. Great service and food & drinks all around. All employees were very attentive. We had a couple of margaritas, guamole made table side. I had the cheese enchiladas & chili relleno. Sauce was excellent. Can't wait to go back soon.
Had the Chicken Verde Enchilada and it was excellent! The Verde salsa was perfect with the shredded chicken. It was flavorful and not too spicy.
I wasn't impressed with their table salsa served with the chips. It was very mild, very tomato heavy without a lot of spices.
If you want to challenge your spicy taste buds, ask for the spicy salsa with the table chips.. it won't take more than a couple chips dipped in the salsa for your tongue to let you know how spicy it is.
I’ve eaten here three to four times and the food is excellent along with great customer service.
Be careful with the chips and salsa because it’s so good that you might get too full before you get your order. I love their chili relleno, seafood dishes and the bar has a great selection of adult beverages.
***update***
I tried their fish taco plate, chicken tortilla soup & coconut margarita. The fish taco plate(I’m used to crispy fried fish rather than baked)was alright but I think the chips and salsa was the best as always. The chicken tortilla soup was also very delicious and the coconut margarita was pretty good.
Parking is limited and usually paid so be aware.
Great place, food and atmosphere. Definitely recommend the Chicken Mole Enchiladas. A bit sweet for my taste, but still delicious. It's a pretty large portion but not quite sharable unless you get another dish to share and try.
