My Two Cents - Los Angeles - Photo album

Counter service/full service restaurant I ordered the fried chicken with 2 sides, $21. The fried chicken was not so crispy and it was almost wet in some ways of grease or water or something. The flavors of the veggies and the sweet potato was great. I don't know how much sugar was added in the swee
Fire! Fire! Fire! What a hidden Gem this restaurant is. I have seen Then for a while and decided to try them out and boy was I impressed. I had the chicken club sandwich that was bursting with flavor a salad and some black eye peas that were just incredible. The Black Eyed Peas may be the best I've
Southern goodness that is not overly greasy! It's pretty healthy tasting in a good way and fits the LA scene. There's street parking only so it can be a bit of a pain. The Grilled Catfish was done well and I got it with Cheesy Grits. The Sweet Potatoes and Collard Greens are really tasty too! Must h
A Memorable Culinary Experience at My Two Cents Restaurant Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) I recently had the pleasure of dining at My Two Cents Restaurant, and I must say, it was an absolute delight from start to finish. This hidden gem has truly stolen my heart with its exceptional service, delicious food,
Yo, this spot is so dope! I came here b/c I saw Alisa’s show on Hulu. If you love soul food with some vegan and gluten free options, then you gotta come check them out! 💯
Great food, great atmosphere, and overall a good experience. I got the plantain tacos. My friend got the catfish tacos. Overall, 10 out of 10 on the food and service. I love that how when people walk through the door, the staff behind the counter yelled out welcome. The strawberry cake.. Hella go
Everything here is made with love. My first visit was so amazing I had to bring my parents all the way from long Beach for lunch. Oxtail Tacos for the win! Save room for sweets. Thank me later.
I found My Two Cents while searching for a brunch spot in LA and I am so glad I visited, especially since I supported a black owned restaurant! I was eyeing the catfish but they were all sold out. Unfortunately for me (since I am a pescatarian) there weren't many options on the brunch menu but I de
Small interior, mixed with some great innovative dishes. The ‘Soul spring rolls’ are the most innovative soul food dish I’ve had, surprised I haven’t seen it before. We ordered the check in with collard greens that comes with a barbecue sauce for dipping - wow. Macaroni - The macaroni and cheese i
Chicken soul rolls and black rice were amazing. Customer service, excellent. Myles and Lavonce served us and were very professional. A bit under seasoned with some of the dishes for my taste. Atmosphere was community orientated.
delicious! had the fried chicken caesar salad, 10/10
Had the most delicious lunch today. We ordered the Shrimp & Grits dish and one word can barely describe the combination of tastes in that one bowl. We also received a yummy side of cornbread with it. Believe me when I say it is a definite must try...You won't be disappointed! I am visiting L.A.
I have a New Year day tradition that includes shrimp and grits, gumbo, greens and black eyed peas. I really didn’t feel like cooking this year as I am dining solo due to the fact everyone I normally get together with has Covid, so I called My 2 Cents. The restaurant was actually closed when I calle
Delicious food, friendly vibes, and the kindest folks making and serving the food. Will be back to try more, but can already recommend the spring rolls, desserts, and the shrimp and grits. Yum.
No wait! Polite guys behind the counter. Food came out in a timely fashion. Oxtail tacos & jerk shrimp tacos were both delicious!!! The Tom Ford is so tasty! I’m a big water drinker so appreciate being served a carafe! I’m visiting from Michigan so I always search out chocolate owners restaurants an
Definitely need more 🌟 's for this review. I love great service, great food and a great atmosphere but it's rare to find them all in one place these days. However, My 2 cents did not disappoint. I had the shrimp & grits meal. The shrimp was amazing and the grits were delicious but together they wer
Above average southern comfort food. Lacks parking and has a smallish sitting area (6 tables inside and 4 out side on the walkway). Eclectic decor but friendly staff. The gumbo tasted great but the seafood might not be the freshest. The fried chicken is on the sweet side. No real complains but also
Small quaint spot, food is made with love, its fresh, not canned products, you can taste the flavor.
Chef Alisa Reynolds has a winner here! My shrimp and grits were fantastic! The cornbread was sweet and salty and I believe, had a spritz of honey. It's really delicious! The staff were very sweet and my food arrived super fast and hot! Casual, laid back in an authentically Black History environment
