I love donuts. And, I thought I knew what good donuts were. But then I had donuts from Stan's. The maple bar and cinnamon sticks are so, so, so good! While in LA our family did the donut tour of the top five rated donut places in the city. Stan's was not number one on the list, but it was number 1 with us. It's just SO good. But, then, you won't know you have had the best donut ever until you have one here for yourself.
It has pretty much become a tradition that when we are headed up this way to visit Katie's extended family, we stop for donuts on the way. Why donuts you ask? First off my mom taught me to never show up at someones house empty handed, and even though Katie and I have been together for over seven years, I still want to impress her crazy family. Secondly, one of my favorites of all her cousins, Gabi, is donut fiend. We bonded over our favorites the first time we met each other, so this is kind of an ode to her.
Located near the bruin theatre decided to try this place based on the reviews I saw. Wasn't disappointed! They had a wide variety of options, of which I tried the raspberry filled one, peanut butter one and a normal chocolate glazed one. All the donuts were great and filling. Overall a great place for donuts!
A great traditional, anti-chain doughnut shop. So many times I've bought a doughnut from Krispy Kreme, Winchell's, Dunkin or some chain establishment and mourned the days when I stopped in for a quick dozen from Stan's.
These guys are practically an institution in Westwood, where restaurants and eateries seem to come-and-go. Doesn't matter that they're a hole-in-the-wall at the intersection of Weyburn and Broxton. Doesn't matter that they offer only a few drink items, a laid-back / no non-sense approach, and don't sing or do some chant for you when you make a purchase. All that means is, the doughnuts are mighty good!
Wonderful selection, great flavor, and always offer that start-my-morning-off-right freshness. My favorites were the French-style and Old Fashioned, which you can't find as easily in other places these days (one chain doughnut shop actually stared blankly at me and asked, "What is a French-style doughnut?" and I nearly shuddered). ; )
You know you've got just the right amount of temptation when you come in the office with a box of these goodies and half your co-workers are grinning wide and the other half are scowling at you like you just kicked them in the shin. If you're a Bruin and need a morning fix, head to Stan's.
The best cake donuts in all 50 states.
Donuts Shoppe doesn't do this place justice. The chocolate covered cinnamon roll is heaven and don't forget the Reese's Peanut Butter donut. If you can't find a sweet treat here that you love, you need help.:-)
Doughnuts!. Delicious, doughy doughnuts served late into the night. their specialty doughnuts are a little heavy for my taste, but the buttermilk bars and the blueberry old-fashioned are favorites, as are their assortment of doughnut holes. great great stuff
A Westwood Institution. If you are looking for a donut, this is the place. Stan really does own the place. It has been here for years.
Considering how close I live, there aren't that many reasons for me to step foot in that awful little town called Westwood Village but Stan's Donuts is one reason. A friend of mine scared me once by telling me Stan's was no longer occupying its little cor
…bits of an apple fritter 3 of the "more unique" donuts… …two had peanut butter - one with jelly, one with banana! As delicious as it sounds.
