Sol Mexican Cocina - Los Angeles - Photo album

Sol Mexican Cocina is a bustling restaurant that serves up delicious Baja-style Mexican cuisine. We were lucky to snag a reservation, as this place is clearly a popular spot. The food was light and flavorful, and everyone in our party enjoyed their dish. The tres leches cake was a standout dessert,
The food tastes good. The atmosphere is extraordinary. During the weekend night, this restaurant is pretty busy and thus the service is not living up to our expectations (compared with surrounding environment).
Been going on this location for months now and it's always been great. Great drinks, food, live music, really good brunch and service. Also well priced with good portions.
The portion of the food is huge and decent price. Although we book a group of 7 for 6.30 pm but didn’t get to the table until around 7 pm. There is a delay to get the table ready and after a few time chasing up. Lack of communication and was told it will be ready very soon.
I was impressed with the taste of the food. Nice restaurant with good service. Good selection of different Mexican plates but drinks are a little pricey. Overall experience was very good. If you're in the area, give them a try...you will like it.
Great food and service. Would go again for quesadilla or burrito.
This was my first time trying the burrito. Every time me and my family and I visit this place, or the sister restaurant Solita, we are never disappointed. The meat was seasoned well, and there were plenty of beans inside. It is filling, and I had the option of ordering it wet but opted not to. I al
I came for the first time for lunch and it was pretty great! We ate outside with the heat lamps keeping us warm and the atmosphere was very nice. The waiter brought out chips that came with salsa and beans which were good. I ordered the Goat Cheese Enchiladas and I added chicken on the side. Very fl
Very nice Mexican restaurant in a modern Playa Vista area. Great interior, outside patio and atmosphere. Amazingly tasty margaritas. Food is great as well, especially carne asada and grilled corn. Its a busy and and a bit loud place with good music. Service is good but busy. There might be a bit of
Food doesn't match prices or environment. It's like chefs these days don't take pride in the product they put out. $30 margarita very over priced. The live music was good but the food needs help. Myself and my 2 female companions all agreed
The food and drinks are pretty solid. The tacos are overpriced for what they are. Biggest problem is inconsistent service at the bar. Certain bartenders are awesome, others suck and it’ll take forever for anything. Also, the floor is super slippery. It’s just built out of a slick material so god hel
We went here because friends of ours had been here before. We get here and were greeted by the hostess welcoming and showed us to our table. The waitress brings out chips salsa and another dipping sauce that was really good I think it was a bean/salsa dip warm. And we asked for a spicier one. Which
This restaurant just became my new favorite taco Tuesday spot. It gets busy quick so be sure to plan ahead. I ordered two fish tacos which the fish was fresh and the batter was light and crispy. The fish ceviche was fresh and fruitful, not a traditional dish by any means but it was great nonetheless
Playa Vista offers us SOL Mexican Cocina, and it’s marvelous. I’ve been several times and I’m always extremely satisfied. The tapas style tacos are a great way to sample the menu. The brunch is delicious, diverse, and authentically Mexican. My favorite drink is a spicy Pineapple Margarita!! Yum.
