Definitely one of my FAVORITE local spots to eat. As a bar / restaurant manager myself, with years of hospitallity nightlife experience, and concierge training...this spot is fantastic in my book. Servers are very friendly, on point, and knowledgeable about the menu. The portions are generous, food is so delicious, and the atmosphere is lively yet comfortable. I love the open view kitchen, and watching the chef's create too! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant. I would recommend making a reservation though. It's very popular for obvious reasons <3
In my opinion, this my be the best italian food in all of East Hollywood/Los Feliz area. Raffailos is right next door to me but Id rather make the 4 block walk to this place. The service is fast and friendly, the food is fresh, flavorful, the portions are perfect for the price. I'm very partial to the pasta dishes, the Penne Arrabiate is a perfect blend of spice and flavor, it one of my favorites, but i have yet to have a dish here which didn't satisfy me immensely. my only compliant is i wish pizza wasn't only a specialty item on the menu because when i had it it was one of the the best I've had.

I was craving some good, authentic, and affordable Italian food when I came across this Italian restaurant while driving. After checking for pescatarian options, I decided to give it a try. The pasta I chose had squid ink noodles, which I had never personally tried before. The cozy and comfortable vibe reminded me of the Italian restaurants I had been to in the past. The dim lighting creates a relaxing atmosphere, making conversations easy to focus on without distractions. The pasta was delicious and served in a timely manner. I particularly enjoyed the creamy tomato sauce, which worked wonderfully with the squid ink noodles. We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary olive oil dip that accompanied the fresh bread. The olive oil had a distinct and intense flavor, which may not be everyone’s preference, but I personally enjoyed it. Overall, the restaurant felt clean and cozy.
My husband and I have been coming here for over 30 years and we love it. He really like the Penne Arribiata and I love the clam pasta. Today I had this great pizza❤️ This is a family owned and operated cafe and is not some bland chain. Excellent food and great family!
Wow was this a great dinner. We enjoyed great service, delicious food, and an all around wonderful time here. We sat outside on their lovely little front patio, were greeted promptly by the server, and seamlessly went through courses. From appetizers to dessert nothing disappoints.
They had a great selection of classics and a nice variety of specials. The pricing was also fair and reasonable for a home cooked, fresh Italian meal.
We ate here last week. The staff was so hospitable. We split the pasta, so the photo is only half of the dish. The salad and wine were divine. This place needs more reviews, because we had an amazing experience. You will not regret a dinner here.
Excellent pasta. Good service from an authentic Italian waitress. It would be a five if the decor was a bit nicer, but it is a warm atmosphere. We'll be back.
Update March 17, 2019. This is still a great restaurant. The food was so good. The pasta is fresh and the sauces are so delicious. My son had the chicken piccatta and it was perfect.

They're open for lunch again! And now there's pizza. It's REALLY good.. if my wife breaks her diet for a couple slices, you know it's delicious 😄
If I could give this place 10 stars I would.
This visit was my first, but will most definitely not be my last. The food was DELICIOUS, the server was incredibly friendly and the ambiance was great with the outdoor sitting (they do have indoor seating). Prices are very reasonable.
The foods is so delicious that my wife and I ate whole thing. The service is very friendly and amazing! Very easy going. Highly recommend anyone to this.
