The Whale & Ale - Los Angeles - Photo album

We came in on first Thursday’s after exploring San Pedro for a bit. Very attentive server, nice ambience with open fireplace and old wood decor. Feels like an old Irish pub. Food is good. Sausage rolls were not what I expected, it’s an actual sausage wrapped in pastry, not ground meat. The Fish and
The Whale and Ale is on 7th Street in Old Town San Pedro. It is a hidden gem and you must try it when you are in town. They have the best pub food in the City. It is just a perfect place. Parking is on the street or behind the store front. We easily found metered parking right in front. We were t
Some of the best food I've ever enjoyed at a Pub. Brittney was our bartender and made me a fantastic Coconut Margarita (it wasn't on the menu yet) Whoa!!! Was it DELICIOUS! I highly recommend you order one from her on your next visit 😁 The rest of the cocktails are delicious too! The rest of the sta
Food was good. Atmosphere had the feel of a 200-year-old Dublin pub. Fish and burgers slightly undercooked. May have to send back for more cooking. Staff were very accommodating. Arriana (server) was super nice, knowledgeable, and unbelievably sweet. I'll be back!
Oh, do not pass this Pub by at all!! This is the real deal and the finest fish n' chips this man has had in a long, long time!! You know you're gunna to have the Guiness, but don't overlook the other assortment of fine beverages to be had ...recommendation, Starr with a flight... Service 5 star...
Visited on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and chose to eat outside on the patio. First the service was great! Greeted warmly and promptly when entered by what seemed all the staff. Ha, it was “hello & welcome” in stereo. My girlfriend had the Steak & Mushroom Pie and loved it! Great recommendati
A truly authentic piece of Britain that has absolutely fantastic authentic food. The owner Andrew made a point of asking me how our meal was and Wyeth was an excellent server. As a brick myself I will totally recommend if you're even remotely hungry and somewhere near here you have to give this rest
Clam Chowder, Calamari, Shepards Pie we’re all fresh & delicious. Firestone 805. Arianne was great. Will def return…
I was impressed by this place. We were just walking by and decided to stay for a drink. We ended up ordering dinner. The food was incredible. I've been told that British food isn't the best, but this was sooooo good. We ordered fish and chips, shepherd's pie, claw chowder and a brisket sandwich. It
If I had money I would eat here everyday. I've never had sheperd's pie that tasted so delicious. I would say they have some of the best food in San Pedro.
Specifically went down to this place for the Kilkenny Irish cream Ale. The au jus was nothing special, but a good sandwich and chips for the price. Will definitely go back.
Wonderful place I love it the food was delicious you can feel it was just made .
Just spent a great Friday night here. The fish and chips was perfect and reminded me of the classic Wisconsin fish fry we always had every Friday before moving to San Pedro. They are a little short staffed, so be patient during busy times. Make sure to end the dinner with their amazing sticky puddi
The food was delicious. The atmosphere made me feel like I was in the UK. The staff were friendly, quick, and efficient. The live music was phenomenal. All in all, a great dining experience. I will definitely be returning in the future.
The happy hour menu was perfect and hit the spot! While here, you must try the fish and chips...such a delicious piece of fish fried to perfection 🤤. Also, they have a nice beer and drinks menu. The staff is absolutely friendly and attentive.
