A truly amazing establishment. I have lived in the hotel on and off as well as recently got married there. The garden is amazing for dinners and special events, and the suites are beautiful comfortable and something you won’t experience anywhere else. The staff is amazing and always willing to go above and beyond. There’s nowhere I’d rather be than Chateau.
We have stayed here several times, and the atmosphere is all it is cracked up to be. Rooms are stylishly tired, but it's all about the vibe. (check the bath has a plug!) Service is simply superb throughout the place. Restaurant is excellent, and keep in mind you cannot drink at the bar unless you have a reservation, or are staying at the hotel. Good for celeb spotting if that is your thing, but take a photograph at your peril!! Prices, well is the Chateau, so can get spendy if you have a good night! We have eaten breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and it never fails to be excellent. Great atmosphere and very relaxed.
Staying at Chateau Marmont has been a bucket list item for my husband and I for years, and we finally booked a trip to celebrate his 50th birthday. The hotel exceeded our expectations!!! Our room was beautiful! The location was perfect! We were able to walk to several fun places to eat/drink and walked to a show at The Comedy Store. Service was excellent - we especially enjoyed talking to Gina at the bar, who shared some of her vast knowledge about mixing cocktails with us! And Lucas took great care of us at the pool, which was beautiful and the perfect temperature. We had such a great time every minute of our stay. It’s so special when you finally indulge in something you’ve long dreamt about and it’s even better than you imagined!
I went to the chateau for brunch and it was fantastic. The location is amazing, you can easily walk there if you live in West Hollywood. The decoration is very nice and chic. Being someone from France, it reminded me the « cliche » architecture of typical Castles you can find in the country side of France. The service is great, super welcoming and nice
The lunch was super yummy : i recommend the avocado toast with eggs or the watermelon feta salad
I also go there to just work on my laptop and it’s super peaceful and cozy
5 out of 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lovely staff.
We just wanted to have a drink in this lovely hotel and we didn't book in advance and anyway the gentleman was very kind and he placed us in a nice table without problems.
Definitely a great service
The staff was lovely: very attentive and down to earth. The cottages were so fun- with the kitchenette and the living room. The little details like stationary printed with your name on it and the fruit left for the guests were so sweet. The pool was so fun. The workout room was adorable. The views were spectacular. The Shirley Temples were delicious. The keyboardist was world class and so very talented. Dogs are welcome- even in the piano bar! The coffee and croissants were amazing. The Chateau has a very old art deco style- kind of like a "Murder on the Orient Express" vibe. Had a magnificent time and I hope to return someday.
What a place. Hard to describe the special energy contained within these walls. I’ll never forget sitting at the piano bar and watching Jason play the piano like a man on fire. Truly a special evening.
Elegance is sometimes old and simple, found in the quality of the people who work and frequent the place at least as much as the beauty of the grounds. So it has been true of this quiet hotel for decades I first stayed here before they had air conditioners or room service… the staff kept a written message for phone calls, it was free to park. Not $60 a day. 550 is a great price for a bungalow and that was what I paid this week for my one bedroom with separate kitchen and living room. Lovely grounds, many water gardens and a pristine pool with a perfect temperature. And no one in it! I noticed they also have a ping pong table now.
The food is very good. Room service is super fast or you can lounge down in the lobby or the restaurants on the couches and beautiful pillows, the bar or outdoors in the eating area the middle of the day. Probably need a reservation later. The old Piano is gone, but they put another one in with seats around it. Like a piano bar.
I hope to return one day - soon.
It is very difficult to turn into the Château. It is a heavy traffic area, option set, and then a sudden turn into the garage. There are often cars lined up for stopped. With the high volume of cars it’s not a very picturesque area, but it is the Sunset strip you can make a right and walk down Sunset Boulevard and she mini used to be famous locations. Across the street is a good taco place. Where are you can walk a half a mile and there’s a white assortment of restaurants down on Santa Monica Blvd.
Oh yes, the Chateau is kid friendly, but it depends on the kid. And the nanny.
Its reputation speaks for itself. Classic vintage Hollywood decor, outstanding service, delicious food, and beautiful people are all trademarks of this place. Everyone is gracious about respecting your privacy (both staff and guests). You can actually relax here. The pool was heated. The suites are large. The lobby/lounge area is perfect for having a drink before dinner in the garden. Would certainly stay there again.
Convenient location, easy parking, charming and historic building. The outdoor area for brunch is a nice way to start the day. The food is, however, mediocre, the service can be slow, and the menu is overpriced. The rooms are basic and a bit worn, certainly nothing fancy or luxe. When you come here, you’re paying for the history and charm.
