Arguably my favorite ramen restaurant in all of LA! So consistent and so good every time. You can completely customize your bowl at the kiosk. They use super fresh ingredients, and the egg is so fire. 10/10, always recommend Tatsu
Perfect for late night cravings open until 3am on the weekends and 1 am the other days. As soon as you walk in you can order your meal in a monitor self-order and they bring your order to the table. Very convenient and delicious ramen. You get to order it your way
So after a year of living in this area and trying at least a dozen ramen places around LA, this one is my favorite. The noddles Chasu, broth, and Woodear mushrooms are on point.
But the reason why it’s my favorite and why I’ve now gone to this place a second time is the special cane sugar soda they have on fountain refills. Few ramen places have fountain soda, but this place has a special sugar cane brand. It’s incredible.

The Hakata ramen that i used to love is here! There are many places that does tonkotsu, but i like Tatsu ramen's Old Skool Ramen. It reminds me of fukuoka
I got the birria ramen and love the fusion! This place has all service on their toes! food is fast and on point!
One of the best ramen I’ve tried! As a ramen lover, I love exploring different ramen spots and this place did not disappoint. The noodle has a nice crunch while the broth is sooo rich. Their pork bun is filled with meat!!
My husband took me here to get something vegan and the food was super yummy. I asked for my ramen to be spicy and it was not fiery at all. I was not able to substitute any vegetables for corn and they charged $2 for it. We enjoyed our time together quietly because the server was MIA.
Tatsu still ranks in my top five ramen restaurants in the Los Angeles area. When I first moved here, trying to get a seat in the area was a task in itself. Time passes, and there is much more competition in the ramen world now than in years gone by. Even so, tatsu remains relevant in the conversation of great Ramen spots to eat at. They have a nice variety of dishes. There is plenty of ramen to enjoy. I recommend the Bold ramen the most. Plus, there are also vegetarian options available if you desire something less heavy. Give it a try, and don't forget to slurp loudly!
As a side note, the Melrose location serves katsu fried sandwiches. It's the only location to have that honor. You can choose chicken, pork, or egg. Lightly breaded and served between Japanese milk bread. It's a nice tasty treat!
Hippie ramen / vegan broth, noodles, spinach, scallion oil, sweet, ginger, tofu, soft boiled egg (egg and tofu were add-ins)
It was a cold day outside when I realized I was close to Tatsu. I love their dragon mural and have wanted to try their ramen, so it seemed like a great time to stop in. Since Jan 1st, I have been focused on vegetarian meals for heart health. I had never tried vegan ramen before, so I wasn't sure what to expect.
Turns out vegan (not quite vegan because I added an egg) ramen is awesome! The flavors were wonderful. This combo of ingredients and the broth was just as satisfying as a pork belly version.
Tatsu on Melrose was busy when I was there. They have a great dining area and a large, permanent patio space that is also private. They have a small parking lot they share with a few other popular places, but there is a lot of street parking in the area.
This Ramen was bursting with flavors! The wrap was good but fell apart immediately and was difficult to eat.
The spice and flavor were balanced very well. I ate all of mine and I usually leave some of the broth but not this time. Nice portions of meat don’t forget to add the seasoned egg!!
Will definitely come back for more!!
