In case of a good weather the place is pleasant. Just sit outside, and enjoy the weather and the view to the towers around. I ate a pizza which was good, service is friendly.

Cool vibe and excellent food. We had ordered several different types of pizzas and dinner Caesar salad. It was more than enough food. Had food to take home. Reasonable priced.

Cool and affordable place in downtown LA. I ordered a steak with broccoli and potatoes. As a steak lover, I can say it was a bit too chewy. Other than that everything fine. Nice and quick staff. To drink, I can definitely recommend beerg - a mix of margarita and passionfruit beer.

Nice place to be with friends after work. Good seating arrangement, you can either sit outdoor or indoors. I loved their vegan dishes, and lemonades, my friends on the other hand loved the ham burgers and chickens. Good happening place, I do keep coming over for lunches and evening hangout since both my office and home are in the same vicinity.

Should have more choice for non-alcoholic.

Really nice situation (outdoor/indoor) and some good food: Spring Rolls, Turkey Club and Vietnamese Chicken Salad. But few choices for the non-alcoholic drinkers. Excellent service.

the geniuses behind mendocino farms created blue cow, an upscale full-service lunch spot that is great on a nice, sunny day.  so this salad is  my favorite thing to get here. second favorite thing to get: country fried chicken rolls (ahem, hawaiian rolls).  delicious!

After glowing reviews about a new, hip sandwich spot in Downtown, I immediately put Blue Cow Kitchen in The List . Having eaten at Casa, the restaurant the preceded Blue Cow, I was a bit skeptical. I wasn’t too fond of my last visit to Casa, and finding out that it went out of business didn’t surprise me. It was exciting to find that Mendocino farms is venturing out and starting a sandwich spot / bar. Ultimately, I was hungry and wanted to see what all of the fuss was about. When I read that a New-American happy hour joint was serving pork belly bahn “mini” sandwiches, I was surprised. The bahn xeo taco shells were made of some kind of crepe batter. The filling of pickled vegetables, herbs and sweet aioli were familiarized by my taste buds, but the taco look alike made this fun to eat. The pork belly was fatty, though not too fatty, and the meat was tasty. This was a perfect little package. The Blue Cow Mendo steak sandwich was better than I thought it would be. Grilled to a perfect me

Located downtown (directly across from another lunch favorite of mine, Starry Kitchen ) Blue Cow Kitchen looks a bit like Mendocino Farms in some ways

it's definitely fancier, though, with a full bar

and waiter/waitress service for the seating area (Super comfy!)

What’s hot in downtown Los Angeles right now? Per the accolades and the press, Spice Table, along with Baco Mercat, seems to be rocking everyone’s socks. Not here. I will not pretend to enjoy $8 lamb skewers, I will not fall for oversauced gorditas. Blue Cow Kitchen is where it’s at. And before accusations “Mendocino whore” are thrown, known this: I’ve walked out of Mendocino as often as I’ve eaten Mendocinos. Which is to say: once. Not everyone gets hooked on $10 sammies, not everyone works west of 405. However, confited, then grilled, duck wings in some faux-Japaneses-Brazilian BBQ (or aji, whatever) sauce? (seen to the left below) Let’s count its winning ways. A: it’s not chicken. B: there are bones involved. C: it’s evocative of Buffalo wings not from Buffalo. This dish is so absolutely genius, and probably offends the white masses in so many ways, that it alone makes Blue Cow Kitchen the most interesting rest

I came here during lunch and ordered the shirt rib pasta while my husband got the rigatoni. Both were delicious and arrived quickly. We sat outdoors on the patio and it was very cozy and great for drinks or a quick lunch. The service was superb. Will definitely be back again for lunch and some drinks next time!

Pros: Went here for Happy Hour. HP menu had a good selection of food and drinks, with tasty pizzas that can be shared with a couple of people. Good ambience and decor, friendly service, close to many landmarks, including the Walt Disney Concert Hall and Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Cons: Somewhat hard to find, located in the bottom level of the plaza.

Finally tried this place for lunch despite working down the street for 3+ years and walking by all the time. I always assumed it was more expensive than it is. Prices are very reasonable for the level of food, service, atmosphere, etc. We tried the brussel sprouts and I got a BBQ chicken salad. Brussel sprouts were rich, crispy, saucy and delicious. Salad was well mixed with a good amount of chicken, great dressing, well balanced and a nice portion size. Service was on point: Attentive without being overbearing. Never once thought "where's my server, or leave me alone already". Definitely will return, as a salad here is barely more than a quick stop takeout place in the area.

Couldn’t agree more with all the positive reviews. For what it is, the place succeeds in every possible way. Boisterous sports bar vibe with a sophisticated edge. Craft beer and outstanding creative cocktails. Creative food choices and everything I had was very well put together. And the service tops it all off. Super quick lively slim girls dressed in black. With a big smile. Please check this place out! It is so much better than you would expect. And make sure you try the pink eggs.

Loved it. Food was delicious and I thought at a fair price. We have a pizza and chicken sliders and an Alcohol beverage. The sliders were the best. The decor was also cool. I passed the restrooms because the doors blended into the wall art. The only thing at is bad is the parking, need to get lucky with places near downtown.

The house margarita is obviously made with quality tequila, slight clean, smoky undertone. The margarita was also a good strength and not too sweet. Try the pizza with corn on it, sounds weird, tastes devine.

Very yummy. I got a pizza and it was overbearing with toppings (practically a salad on top), but delicious! My cute girlfriend got steak and she said it was yummy.

Happy Hour is where it's at! Come Monday-Friday 4-6:30pm and save on drinks and yummy food. Ordered the Blue Mule (vodka/blueberries/lime juice/ginger beer) for $6 and boyfriend got beer ($2 off draft beers). Thank goodness the drink was discounted for happy hour because it was less than desirable (watered down and poorly crafted). The food was fantastic and the only reason I would come back. Obviously had to try the highly recommended pink eggs & ham and did not regret trying at all (delicious). Also ordered brussels sprouts, fries, and 2 orders of the MAPLE PORK BELLY TACOS. Sprouts and fries all good, nothing special. Oh my gosh...the maple pork belly tacos are phenomenal!!! The tortilla is freshly made, the pork simply melts in your mouth, and the pickles just are the perfect side. Came on a weekday around 5pm and definitely saw how popular of a spot this is. Large corporate groups often frequent this spot, but there is plenty of seating available both indoors and patio. I would highly recommend this place, especially for Happy Hour.

Great place if you're down near Pershing Square or Bunker Hill area. Great selection of food and drinks. We ordered beet, mango, grapefruit, cheese, lettuce salad and it was really good. I typically don't eat beets ( it's a childhood thing) but did for the first time in years and it was really good and I would order it again! My friend had the pork belly tacos and she said they were good too!.

Only had drinks but had a very positive experience. The staff were very friendly and sociable, the restaurant itself is somewhat secluded as it lies below the street level yet the outdoor seating is fantastic because you are encompassed by skyscrapers looming overhead which really adds to the ambiance. It is remarkably quiet in this area on a Saturday evening but the restaurant was beginning to become quite full around 6 PM or so. There is an indoor area as well but I did not venture inside because it was too nice outside! Go here, eat, drink and be merry.

Blue Cow is swanky restaurant, great place to catch the game. Plenty of TVs to enjoy your favorite team. Drinks are great but, the beer selection is a little limited. (No stouts- unfortunately) The burgers looked tempting but I went with the fried chicken sandwich. I highly recommend the chicken sandwich comes with plenty of coleslaw and the fries are thick cut and salted to perfection. This place is a short walk (mainly uphill) from the LA Grand Hotel. The amotsphere is young sophisticated and hip. The outside seating area is very cozy and enjoyable. Definitely a must try venue if your in the need of something to eat beyond the usual fast food options.

I love this place they have the best vegan options! There are only a few but each one I've had has been absolutely amazing and full of so much flavor! The vegan tacos are so tasty and the other dish I had was also Mexican but I forget what it was called. But I guarantee any vegan dish you order here will be absolutely delicious. Thank you for being vegan and tasting amazing!!!

Love this place. The food is delicious and a good price. The owners are very welcoming and will help you through the menu. When our food came out it was a perfect sized portion and was fresh and well prepared, not that kind of super greasy Indian food you may find at some other places. Will definitely be back!
