Great Great vegan donuts! I wish there is more kinds vegan because all we got was great! Nice service too. My favorite is the apple-brandy vegan donut, so fluffy yet crispy and really tasty glaze. The Mexican chocolate vegan donut is greatly decadent and a lot about chocolate. The orange vegan one is good too.
Ordered 3 donuts via uber eats.

I went to Blue Star on the recommendation of a friend and was encouraged by the fact that they offer old-fashioned cake donuts - my favorite. An added bonus is their stellar branding and cool Abbot Kinney location.
I am only subtracting a star because I was expecting to be blown away, which I was not. The donuts were Vegan, which was cool, and I loved the texture but there is was something about the taste that just wasn't quite there. I have had really good Vegan donuts before and these were not them.
I did get a Lemon Poppyseed donut that was really good (I paired it with ice cream for a pretty unique flavor). These donuts also lasted for a while. I kept them unsealed in a box for a few days and the taste remained pretty good.
If you are on Abbot Kinney, definitely stop by this place for some donuts. However, I would not make the trip just to try Blue Star. I will be in Oregon in September and I hope to try their donuts there!
Good donut shop w/ creative flavors! I think I was expecting more from the chocolate donut, but it was a little bland.
the cashier was really friendly, great service. donuts were tasty with artisanal flavors.
blueberry bourbon basil - fluffy brioche bun with nice tart flavor from blueberry
lemon poppy - crispy and dense, nice lemon flavour
ganache chocolate almond (pictured) - softer donut, ganache was too rich for me
The last time I visited Blue Star was 3.5 years ago. Surprisingly, their price remains the same. When we arrived, there were only 3 options left and we bought Blueberry Cake and Chocolate Buttermilk. If you haven't been here, they are more like cakes than donuts. Blueberry cake is just average, but Chocolate Buttermilk is probably the best donut we have tried, period. It has rich chocolate flavor with crispy surface. Not too sweet, just perfect!
If you follow my previous reviews you would note that I almost never give five stars. But this place is an exception, the name is quite misleading because it says blue star coffee and donuts. But they really don’t even sell coffee, but they do sell the best donuts I’ve ever had in my life. Overall, nothing compares to the maple walnut cruller at daily provisions as the single greatest donut ever invented, but this place has two through 10 in the next nine donuts on my list, absolutely fantastic.
Was walking down Abbot Kinney and saw a lot of people in front of this place. The wait for 15 minutes but when we got in, we understood why. The donuts are fresh and really tasty. Although I did not like all of them, my favorites were the regular glazed and the key lime pie. Great donuts!
I got the buttermilk original donut and it's quite possibly the best donut I've ever had. It's like if a funnel cake and a churro had a delicious glazed donut baby. Coffee was good, and The price was not bad at all.
Truly stunning and delicious donuts! Would recommend the classic OG glazed cake. Literally cannot go wrong with a glazed donut but especially this one! The chocolate almond was also delicious but a bit too heavy for my liking!
