Review 25 Degrees - Los Angeles

Donna V
While I was on vacation, some friends decided to go to this spot, under the Roosevelt hotel... great decision. They had burgers while I opted for the chicken sandwich on Ciabatta bread. First we ordered drinks. They had some wine while I got some Chamomile tea. The tea came out with all the frills... fancy!! Honey in a small jar, lemon wedges, extra hot water... I was impressed by the presentation. We ordered 1/2 portions of sweet potato fries and tater tots. Let's just say, the 1/2 portions are huge. They were so hot, tasty and not oily at all. Finally, our burgers and sandwiches came through and hit the spot. My chicken was juicy and delicious. My friends' burgers were so tasty. We cleaned our plates. Highly recommend this spot.

Went here for breakfast during our stay at Roosevelt hotel. Enjoyed the breakfast burger with side of hash browns and huevos Rancheros. The staff is very courteous. The restaurant has very good vibe

This place never ceases to amaze me. The burgers are absolutely outstanding!!! The best burger I've had in LA was from right here. Their monthly special burger is always amazing, otherwise you can't go wrong with their #1 burger!!! Must order medium rare!!! (Thank me later)! Their milkshakes (add alcohol) make the perfect desert!! If they have Screwball behind the bar, be sure to ask them if they would make you their legacy chocolate peanut butter whiskey milkshake!!! To die for!! Everyone I have brought here have all been absolutely stunned and have deelcared here as their new favorite burger! Bar seating is usually always available otherwise there might just be a small wait for a larger group.

Really large portions and great taste. We had a couple of different burgers and they were good but not perfect. The fries and onion rings were really LARGE. The milk shake was good but they were out of malted.

Solid burger joint with strong drinks and efficient service on a Sunday at noon. I recommend the No. 1 and No. 3 burgers, tater tots, and the Mango Chamoy Margarita (pictured). The margarita was so boozy, I nodded off at my movie matinee.

Part of hotel Roosevelt, great meals for breakfast and dinner, good atmosphere and the staff were very courteous

This is located adjacent to Roosevelt Hotel and also part of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Which makes it very convenient for hotel guests and tourists. I think there are metered parking in the area. We didn’t need parking as we stayed at the hotel. They are serving classic American Food: sandwiches, salads, appetizers, and more. Me and my friend both ordered a burger. I had the No1 hamburger served with all the fixings. The burger was nice and juicy but there was a taste I didn’t like, I don’t know if it was the cheese or the sauce. My friend had beyond meat burger, there was nothing left on her plate. We also ordered their Tater Tots (cajun house seasoning) that was very good! Can’t go wrong with taters. Last but not least we ordered a salted caramel shake (with wild Turkey bourbon, butterscotch schnapps, and caramel). Definitely an added twist to a shake. The ambiance is a little darker than what I’d like but it’s like a fancy diner dive. Red interior, chandeliers, and dim lighting. I’d say it’s good for date night (lol). This place is a bit pricey. We spend almost $90 for just the things we ordered. The staff were very nice and attentive. Love that!

Such a great atmosphere and great service! The food was really good. Basic style American food with little twist here and there. Overall, amazing.

Stopped in for a quick brunch and we were so surprised how great the food is! Very nice ambiance, especially for a diner, friendly servers and the cheesy hash browns are the best hash browns I’ve ever tasted!

Cute place and great service!! The espresso shake and the french toast was delicious!

Consistent for the last 10 years we’ve visited. Great food and drinks are worth the money. Clean and nice environment to people watch.

Great location and solid burgers! Popped in off of Hollywood Blvd and was surprised at how good the burger was (picture doesn't do it justice) I did a build your own burger and used turkey burger. Delicious! Service was friendly and the food came out fast. Fries were lacking, but the burger more than made up for it.
Lisa E.
Really good and heavy burgers. We had some leftovers- because it was much. Only 4 stars because the coke tasted like chlorine.

While 25 degrees was mostly chosen for breakfast because it was convenient and located in our hotel, we ended up enjoying our breakfast there. The vibe during the day is “bistro” but it seems like it may feel a bit dark and loud at night. It’s nice to be able to see out onto Hollywood Blvd while you dine as well. Service was fine but forgettable and food was really good! The omelette was a good size and tasty and the fruit substitution was awesome with a high quality mix! It’s a bit pricey, but you are eating in a hotel in Hollywood!

The burger, the fries, the beer battered onion rings all hit the spot. I've been on the hunt for a good beer battered onion ring and imo I found it! I will be craving these again! I got the No. 2 burger, medium. And it did not disappoint. We got a half order of curly fries, but the onions rings won it for me. Our waiter was sufficient. Not overly friendly. Which may have come off rude, but he brought us everything we asked for. Ya knows some days it might be hard to be happy all the time. So it didn't bother me. I was fed well and left feeling very satisfied. We also got a spiked milk shake for dessert. The salted Carmel shake was a perfect sweet treat at the end of our meal.

It was good food, good atmosphere and friendly service. We enjoyed the cisit. The atmosphere was great and right on the Walk of fame. The hotel lobby was beautiful as well, as it connects right onto the restaurant. I usually take pics of the food but it was late, we had kids and we were enjoying the LA vibes.

I usually enjoy the 25 Degrees in Huntington Beach. Great food and wonderful service as well. Today I visited the restaurant in Hollywood. I was expecting the same and received the opposite. The service was terrible. I ordered a beet salad to start with and never received it. I ordered a burger and instead of being medium, it was well done and dry. The waiter never came to check on us. Another waitress was helpful and apologetic and gave us a discount. Overall I would not recomend anyone to go to the Hollywood location. Poor managment in my opinion.

We’ve just come back from visiting LA and staying at The Hollywood Roosevelt hotel. The 25 degrees restaurant is part of this establishment, and I would definitely recommend both the hotel for accommodation & the restaurant. The breakfast is awesome and I recommend both the 25 degrees breakfast and the pancakes the staff were awesome - highly recommend a visit!

The best burgers and fries in the history of the world. I’m sorry, In-N-Out Burger fans, that’s right! 25 Degrees has BETTER burgers. And no lines. Zero lines. Very nice staff. Cool old, Hollywood atmosphere. Great drinks. Why is everyone so enamored with In-N-Never-Get-Out? The price is not worth waiting in lines, stalking tables, people stalking your table, stuffing your food down your throat. 25 Degrees is relaxed, old Hollywood. Our kids LOVED it, too.
Rene Wirtz
One of the best burgers I've ever eaten and one of the best shakes I've ever drank. Will definitely return to this restaurant when I'm in the neighborhood again.

Burgers were THE BEST!!! Nice ambiance and decent serve (they were super busy when we were there and server was swamped). Perfect spot in Hollywood.
Cory Quandt
Burgers are good, but way overpriced. Everything is additional cost. Be wary, a burger ends up being like 20 bucks when you are done putting the normal things on it, that should be on a burger. Most likely not even grass fed jeesh. Still it was delicious.

My wife and I were in from Vegas and stumbled upon this place about 11pm. We were very happy to find it was still open, as many food options down here were already closed. We were immediately seated at the bar and were able to order. We loved that the fries and malt we ordered came out before our burgers. The food was excellent but a little pricey. That's the only thing keeping me from giving it five stars. Staff was super awesome and was tipped accordingly. Don't hesitate to eat here.
Julie Russell
We had the brunch there. The eggs were amazing, so much we couldn't finish it all. Had fruit with it too $15. Staff were friendly even though they were rushed off there feet. Fabulous food

Very good food and they give you plenty !!! Great drink specials and cool round booths with awesome bar stools . Our server was so friendly and answered all of our tourist questions ... forgot his name but he was stocky Hispanic guy who had a beard , very nice guy . He worked during the day on Tuesday July 12th in the booth area and bar stools ...

Holy Moly that was a delicious burger!! Great atmosphere and friendly (and rather attractive) servers!! Little bit pricey but no complaints here!!
Beverly Daniels Range
The burger was good, the sweet potatoe fries were amazing and I had night owl milkshake. My first time in LA. The atmosphere was nice and the people were friendly. My only complaint was that it was extremely over priced $17.00 for burger and $14.00 for a shake and fries were extra $75.00 was pretty steep for two...

Severs suck big time..we wait about 25 minute to get a drink order we get finally drop the food never come back to check on us...I will never go back

Honestly, one of the best food experiences of my life! Heading back in a few days and will definitely be stopping by again!!!! 💚💚💚!!!!

Finally, I have my favorite place in Hollywood. Amazing burger! That was it!

Wonderful somewhat swanky atmosphere (in a good way) . Knowledgeable staff, diverse menu with burger combinations anyone will love.

Chill, trendy ambiance with delicious gourmet burgers and good music

Yummy

We had the burgers and a milkshake, they were fantastic! This bar/grill is in the historic Rosevelt Hotel. We toured the lobby and pool afterwards. Would definitely recommend it and go back.

I had an excellent time at 25 degrees Hollywood Boulevard has some of the most intriguing locations this is definitely a restaurant you want to check out a hot local hangout also

Fortunate to have this place at the lobby of the hotel! Breakfast is delicious, their hash browns were out of this world good, the Kahlua Chocolate shake is delicious, the burgers, fries, cheese platter, kale salad (exceptional). Portions are big but I didn't find one thing that I did not like. Service is great, they open 24 hours and prices are perfect for their food, service and portions. I highly recommend this place if you don't want to spend a fortune on food since LA is quite expensive.

Went for dinner while on Hollywood. Got the number one burger and wife got turkey burger fries and onion rings . Everything excellent service great.

Great breakfast! Had a scramble with avocado, spinach , tomato and goat cheese. WOW! Full of flavor! Would definitely recommend. Service was very good as well. Easy convenient location.

Stayed in the HR so we ate here for breakfast and lunch. French toast was amazing. The burgers, fries and onion rings were yummy! Staff was amazing and friendly.
Scott
The menu makes this place seem incredible. The sweet potato fries were delicious and onion rings had an almost buttery flavor. The shakes are thin but good flavor. Sadly, the burgers were not very good. Lack of flavoring made them bland, buns were way too bready. Even more disappointing was the service. Took forever to order food, order was brought out incorrectly, amount charged did not match ticket. Just a mess.

Amazing service during my vacation, both at the restaurant and as room service. Absolutely loved the French Toast and Fries. Both amazing and delicious :)
Frank Muñoz Moraga
They have some really good food and a really nice restaurant, I tried some burgers and chips, and they were amazing!
The one problem, was the waiters, because they took so long to come back, and when they did, it took them ages to bring the food

Get Kale and almond salad. Pass on the roasted beat salad.

I had breaky here and was very happy with everything. Great scrambled eggs were the highlight but the hash browns were great and the service was even better. They gave us some great advice about the area that will make our stay in LA Much better. Thanks Jesse!
Roberto
Consistent and fun. We stayed at the Roosevelt all last week and had breakfast there everyday, and dinner once. All was great - and a huge thanks to Jesse our waiter, he was great...one thought, the jalapeno bacon is an acquired taste

Service is spotty. We happened to get a diligent waitress. Onion rings are very good. Fries are thin cut and undercooked. Burgers are cooked to same temperature independent of the way you order it. All that said, the burgers are tasty. Fresh rolls add to the enjoyment. Worth a visit for the burgers alone but would go try other LA burger spots before returning. 7/10 overall.

Once Is Enough. Take a peek at the opulent lobby of the legendary Roosevelt Hotel, where 25 Degrees is located. It may well be the highlight of your evening.....

The burgers here photograph well. (A food stylist's dream.) With burger and toppings presented on buns so big they barely fit in your mouth, you think you're in for a treat .... You take the first bite, and reality sets in. You've ordered a mediocre hamburger, unevenly seasoned and cooked a bit too long. For the price, you expect better. At least we did.

The sides are huge and wasteful. Each portion could easily feed three, maybe four people. If you're familiar with sweet potato fries, you'll find these merely average. (Why are people raving about them?!) You may be better off with fried onion rings.

This sliver of a restaurant can't accommodate many, so tables are squished together making it impossible to carry on a private conversation. We had no choice but to listen to the braggart next to us, trying to impress a first-time date who clearly had no interest in Date #2.

Will we be back? No way.

Loved it best burger! It was our first meal in LA and it was everything we hoped! Recommended by a friend who has eaten there numerous times it was exactly what we wanted. Can't wait to go back to LA for another one of those burgers and fries.

Love the Guinness milkshake. Guinness milkshake and burger is the best here!

One of the best burgers in L.A., period. It gets crowded at times, but it's open 24/7. My friend and I are in the middle of a burger tour of L.A. and this is for sure among the top 3!

Excellent Burgers and more...... Having lacked the foresight of making reservations for Christmas eve, we decided to check out local hotels. Initially got a table at The Bridge but after looking at the menu (goose, not so much!) we asked the hostess and she suggested 25 Degrees.
We tried several dishes: chopped vegetable salad (superb), cheese plate--great cheese but not crazy about the fruit cake that it was served with. I had the egg sandwich and it was just about perfect. Ditto on the two sirloin burgers at the table (LOVE the buns). Kudos too for the sweet potato fries and hand made onion rings; oooh lala. Gimme more! Tried a glass of the house merlot; yum... should have written that one down. Will go again!

Great Burger!. I went here with my non-foodie mom on our touristy trip into hollywood. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the burger. On the waiter's recommendation, I ordered the "number 3" (mezzo secco jack, green chili, chipotle, and avocado) medium rare, and that's exactly what I got. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and good all around. Topped off with an order of the sweet potato fries and a beer, this was a very good meal. Best of all, my mom seemed to like the joint too (except the price)!

25 Degrees has the best onion rings in town, the turkey burger with blu cheese and pesto was great.

DEE-licious. Tucked away in the Roosevelt hotel is a trendy little cafe / burger joint that is part old school diner part club. Don't let the last bit dissuade you, there is no loud music thumping through the speakers but the gothic-style architecture will make you think martini's are on the menu.

This burger joint offers some of the best burgers in LA. There are 3 specialty burgers (I recommend the #2) but you can also build you own. Shoestring fries with your choice of dipping sides are a perfect compliment. It is a bit pricey, but well worth it.

That tourist part of Hollywood is crap. Like really crap. Full of slack-jawed tourists and people dressed up in worn out costumes charging $5 a photo. Ugh. But in all that mess is the Roosevelt Hotel that feels like a part of old Hollywood (or what I’d imagine old Hollywood to be like). And inside the Roosevelt is a 24 hour burger restaurant called 25 Degrees which serves burgers so big I couldn’t finish the one I ordered.

25 Degrees - To some, it's just 'that bar in the corner' of the historic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. Entourage fans may recognize it, unknowingly, as the backdrop for Season 6 key art . To others still, it's the only place to get a decent gourmet burger at any time of day or night - and a place that kitschy 'retro' diners could only aspire to be, when they grow up. I had a fabulous time at Chef Tim Goodell's other restaurant in the hotel, Public Kitchen + Bar , for brunch a little while ago - so was excited when I was invited to a media dinner at 25 Degrees recently. Photo courtesy of 25 Degrees / Wagstaff The place is described as "bordello meets burger" - with the sophistication of a wine bar and the ease of a burger joint - style that is reflected in its velvety, lush interiors in sexy burgundy, espresso and black, balanced by a laid back vibe befitting its 'smart casual' menu. Despite its location, 25 Degrees is not all about appearances though. Chef Goodell raises the bar on the bu

To my delight, the combination of the salty prosciutto, tangy tomato and creamy burrata with the burger was not at all overwhelming-- just mind-blowingly tasty.

JG & I both love 25 Degrees for dinner and drinks. The food is always perfect and priced well for the quality and portion, but the drinks can be a little on the pricier side. Welcome happy hour prices! Half-off are well drinks, beers, select wines, milksh
