Hosted our companies Holiday Dinner here. We got a private room for our small party and everything was set up beautifully. Lydia was great coordinating everything for us. Once we were there the Manager Lamont and his team were amazing. They took such great care of us. Danny our waiter was truly our hero as everything was timed perfectly and we felt really taken care of. As the host, it could be stressful, but The Palm made it seamless. Food, service, and atmosphere = A+ all the way!
The palm was really nice place to have a nice steak. Mashed potatoes were overly garlic but then again our (many times too familiar) server reiterated they were garlic mashed potatoes. Food was delicious service was a little uncomfortable. Ambiance was very nice with high ceilings.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Palm in downtown Los Angeles. We ordered a bit of everything, so I'll just talk about what I liked the most.
The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and was very tender. We ordered a few of the sauces and while they were pricey vs the amount, the chimichurri and peppercorn are worth adding.... The au gratin was my favorite side dish, it was creamy and flavorful, wish we ordered two servings honestly. Lastly the dessert and the key lime pie hit the spot but being full from the dinner, we had it to go. Overall, I had a great experience at The Palm and would definitely recommend it to others! Worth it especially for special occasions.
The spot is a classic steak house in Downtown LA and one of the spots I highly recommend. Old school feel inside with great customer service coupled with wonderful celebrity wall art.
We went here for my buddy’s birthday and brought our own wine. We ordered a dozen oysters, the thick cut bacon, hash browns, mushrooms and I ordered the boneless prime rib for the entree. For dessert I got a latte and the tiramisu with vanilla ice cream.
The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly, it was the right size also. I like mine medium rare and the sides were really good. The oysters were very flavorful and tasted fresh. The thick cut bacon was phenomenal and the sauce that comes with it was great(I used it for my steak too). Customer service was great overall and the dining experience was great.
The latte was delicious and the tiramisu was phenomenal, especially with a side of vanilla ice cream. I’d definitely come back again to try their other menu items. Parking is limited to street but I recommend covered/garage parking on the opposite street on Hope.
Mother's Day at the Palms was spectacular! GREAT variety of steaks and seafood! We started with the seafood tower. The general manager and the floor manager greeted us, and the staff were attentive and professional. Daniel was our waiter, and he was very informative about the menu and provided excellent service. A treat for those who enjoy listening to vintage music with matching atmosphere. The affogato dessert was the best!!
Came for work event with preset menu, staff was so lovely n attentive. Loved the lobster bisque n veal Parmigiano... amazing n huge, i had to bring home! Steak others ate also looked very healthy in portions. Great atmosphere
..n old classic feel this place has but not snotty...enjoy hearing about everyone's favorite celebrity on wall n story while I networked.
Amazing place to go when visiting the downtown LA area. Decided to get the center cut fillet and couldn’t be happier. I got the 8 ounce one instead of the bigger one with a side of mushrooms and mashed potatoes and it was the perfect portion for me to eat.
The mushrooms were seasoned perfectly and complemented the main course well. Careful with the drinks as they were stronger than I anticipated. Parking can be a bit tricky especially if it’s a busy night.

Good steak and sides! Bread basket is perfect. Employees are very nice. The restaurant is very dark and hard to read the menu. The ambiance is amazing! Over all a good place to eat as a couple or a larger group.
Absolutely one of the best steaks ever. Service was slow but that's the way it is everywhere. Was not impressed by the mushrooms or the Brussel Sprout, lobster was not tender. Somewhat tough, shrimp cocktail and deserts were good
I really liked the food here. The bread at the start of the meal was really good. The crab cakes were very good and reminded me a lot of east coast real Maryland crab. The biggest problem is I'm not sure the price exactly matched the amount of food even when factoring in the high quality. I think I spent about 70 dollars for lunch to have 2 pretty small crab cakes and some green beans. The location is hard to get too but the atmosphere is great!
