Great place! Food was delicious... service was great...this place knows customer service. My son and I found our new breakfast place
Talk about happy accidents. We were looking for another place but found this one instead. So we decided to try it. We love, love, loved it. A magnificent breakfast menu. Such a variety. Friendly service, tasty food, great coffee! Not a very long wait time as well. And they were busy! Definitely going back again. Gotta try their lunch next time. :)
BEET SALAD!
Best salads are either spectacular or crashing boors. Blu Jam nails it. No little red chunks but meaty, tender, and plentiful yellow babies. Lots of boat cheese, too. My lunch pal had some breakfast thing that looked gorgeous and he all but locked the plate. Going back Will be easy.
I just had the most flavorful and healthy meal in a restaurant in a long while. I thoroughly enjoyed the high vibe in the place plus the service was super friendly.
My friend and I had a wonderful lunch experience. Menu options were varied and colorful! I will definitely come back!
Great breakfast
Although quite a simple interior, the breakfast was great. During our 10 day stay in LA this was one of the best breakfast places we went to!
My absolute favorite brunch place in California. The place gets crowded on weekends and I believe they don't take reservations. I always get their signature crunchy French toast. It's absolutely amazing. Their eggs Benedict is also top notch. The service is average. Parking can be difficult on...
big fan of B-fast. and i like this one!Prices are a little high, but don't stop me from going.
I love their salads, unlike many other places, they actually give you other ingredients than greens! and the dressings are actually tasty!
The decor is fun, and the plates are well presented.
The wait staff is ok, they could make some more efforts on that.
The eggs benedict are good, but not my favorite!
Crunchy French Toast, Egg and side of Bacon. This was an excellent dish and a cool place with outdoor seating. Tons of great looking breakfast options. Definitely the food highlight of my short trip.
I was surprised to see such a low approval rating for this joint. Granted, it's been a couple of years since I've been here due to the location, but since there were no customer reviews, I thought I should chime in.
By "Realistic 50's Style Diner" I mean it actually feels like you've stepped back in time. It doesn't have that touristy Epcot Center kind of feel like so many Los Angeles restaurants do. A friend and I went in the middle of the afternoon on a weekend. A few tables were taken - not too crowded. We were promptly seated. Our waitress was charming, pleasant, and friendly. She seemed to be very into the retro scene and really embraced her role as a diner waitress. Our food arrived quickly, cooked to perfection. The burgers were enormous. They have a variety of 50's era shakes and fountain drinks. We ordered an espresso shake (not so retro but yummy) and a malted. They were both delicious! I would definitely go here again.
two things they are known for: crunchy french toast and the french pressed coffee. amazing. the french pressed coffee. yeah, so it’s $5…but so very very worth it. if you are a coffee lover, you must get this. don’t get turned off by how many people are here in the morning… the text-you-when-your-table-is-ready really helps. it never feels that long and plus you can just take a walk up and down ventura blvd.
This restaurant gets 5 stars all around. Its so pretty and fresh inside and out. The entire staff were very genuine, friendly and so welcoming. The food is perfectly crafted and made with some love n it for sure. I tried a few dishes and cant wait to try more because im definitely coming back. Thank you Jeff and the rest of the staff.
Great usage of technology - got wait-listed online. Once arrived got seated on Sunday in 5 min. Ordering process is easy from the table QR code. Delicious and healthy meal options, good kids choices.
Parking is limited but you can always find something on Ventura.
A Sherman Oaks gem. First, it has a gigantic seating capacity. Probably very help during the weekends because even on a Tuesday morning it was half packed.
Parking is readily available (street, meter), nice walking route too.
We were looking for easy no-fuss breakfast options and this place popped up. The ambience is great, everything is very cute and cozy, every staff member we came across was incredibly friendly and inviting. Hats off to Jeff who just made my morning. He was joking around, checked on us constantly (even though they don’t have wait staff, you order your food at the counter or online) and just left me feeling so welcome and warm!
The online ordering experience was great. They had a picture for EVERY dish in the menu and detailed description, various choices and very generous portions.
Thank you!!
Friendly staff and delicious food. Went on a Sunday and the wait was about 30 minutes, but it was worth it. Everything was delicious and there were a ton of vegetarian options for my group. The menu was big enough that it was hard to decide what to get. Solid choice for brunch.
Went here for brunch, we ordered a little bit of everything so we could try it all. Everything was amazing. The espresso, the chilaquiles and the scrambled were all delicious. It’s a cute spot to hang out, the wait was about 10 minutes. Parking can be limited but we found a spot across the street. Fresh ingredients and the food looked very good.
Food was fresh and many healthy choices. The way you get on the waiting list, order and pay by an app is really cool and different. The staff were attentive and being outside was nice. They allow dogs and I'm good with that because I'm an animal lover. The parking was a little difficult, we had to go around the block several times until a spot opened up. Overall a pleasant experience, definitely will be back!
Let me start off by saying as a Mexican it’s hard to find flavor in food as close to my grandmothers cooking. I had the chilaquiles with eggs and added salsa verde and I literally had an an explosion of flavor and closed my eyes and for a minuet I was in my abuelas kitchen. The flavor of the fresh black beans queso cortijada and scrambled eggs and salsa verde and crunchy tortillas was the best combo ever. My server was a sweet Hispanic lady with sweet tia vibes bring me salsa after salsa made it even better. Not to mention I can hear the cooks singing somehow made the ambiance feel very home like. The French toast combo with vanilla icying was great French press coffee well worth every single dollar $80 to be exact! This meal was worth every star!
Blu Jam Cafe is definitely my jam! They have a great menu with dishes that everyone is sure to enjoy.
I got the Spicy Vegan Tex Max Hash and was pleasantly surprised by exactly how much I love this plate. The tofu was perfectly cooked and the avocado on top was a perfect way to mix a little crunchy with some creamy.
We had no wait for a table outside and found easy enough street parking. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area.
I wish I could rate blue jam over 5 stars because they deserve it. Not only is the food delicious but the service/staff is what makes me come back to this place every time. There is a lot of good food in LA but each time we are looking for a good brunch place we come back! The crunchy French toast is always delicious
and given, but the vanilla latte was bomb and the rancheros was really flavorful. It’s hard to want to get the same thing each time but also want to try the entire menu! Our hostess was so kind and worked with us for finding outdoor seating. You can add your name to Yelp waiting line before which is SUPER convenient and so glad they utilize this.
It’s so delicious. I I love blue jam!
Order from your phone and they will bring it to your table, it’s convenient and easy because it’s already paid for and you can order more or take off when you are ready. Staff is always courteous, coffee beverages are fun and tasty, good variety of menu options. Low pressure good vibes.
