Hard to find an open place at 9:50pm but with my good luck, not only did I find an open restaurant, but one with amazing food!
Healthy, and tasty! I ordered 3 bowls to go, and one of them was vegan.
I really appreciate the plant based option.
Thank you guys!
Come here and be ready to enjoy an amazing cuisine ❤️
Tatsu never disappoints. Today especially. Incredibly generous pork belly portion, and the bold ramen was incredibly tasty. The egg is as good as a ramen egg can be. I still wish they had wider noodles as an option, but they cook their thing noodles to perfection every time. Open a location in the San Fernando valley please!
Came here for dinner after an afternoon at the beach. We haven't been back here for a few years and glad we were able to fit it in.
The seating and ordering process is very efficient. First, you check-in with the host who asks if you want to dine in or takeout. For dine in they take your number and text you when the table is ready. Lots of shops around so waiting is not too bad. We came at the late dinner rush so we waited. We were quoted 20 minutes but got our table in 5.
When you have a table then you place and pay for your order via tablet and proceed to your table. The place was bustling with lots of customers. Inside is small with space for 10 customers at tables and maybe 8 at the counter. I did notice a patio they set up outside which adds additional space.
We ordered 3 ramens - 1 bold ramen and 2 old skool. I love the customizations allowed on the ramen. I got the bold and I got extra green onion and no garlic and 1 soft boiled egg. My wife and daughter got the old skool and had it with thick curly noodles and wood ear. Both ramens were really good with the broth being very flavourful. The pork was a little dry and on the old skool, the noodles were not quite QQ.
I also ordered a Jones orange cream and chasu rice. When we sat at the table, a waitress right away gave us water but forgot my Jones. We had to flag another person later to get it. He chasu rice was really good.
The place is bustling and it looks like they get lots of customers for dine in and to go. As a result, service is a little spotty. The staff are friendly and helpful but they are so busy that they just are so focused on their tasks that they forget about you until your order is ready. Also, I got my bold ramen first and I was halfway through before the old skool came.
We still like this place and will be back.
One of the best ramen in LA!!!
The Bold Ramen (mild spicy was perfect level) was sooooo good! Loved the taste and consistency of the soup and the noodles were the perfect texture and thickness.
Not sure when the best time to show up is, as we had an hour wait on Friday night at 9pm. As soon as we ordered and were seated though, the food came very fast. Despite how busy it is, our waiter paid good attention and gave us plenty of water.
Overall, very much worth the wait and will definitely go back!
Weekday lunches aren't too busy so we didn't have to wait in a line to order. Only one ordering kiosk so it could be slow during peak hours.
Ramen was delicious. Rich broth with a lot of depth. Hakata noodles were spot on.
Waited 30 min on a saturday night. Ordered the bold ramen & Birria ramen. Bold ramen feels like standard japanese tonkutsu ramen which is very nice, birria ramen tastes a bit strange to me as it doesn’t feel like the fusion worked out very well. But that’s personal taste so if you are interested sure to try it out!
Tastsu is one of my faves in all of Cali. I've tried many, many Ramen locations, and the consistency of their food is always on point. I always order the Bold Ramen and order extra pork or chicken with every side you can think of. Don't judge me for loving food!!! 😁....and being a bit on the heavy side. Only like 80 lbs, but who's counting. Anywho, this place stays open late 7 days a week. You can't miss this spot. Go now!!!
My friends and I stumbled upon this place when visiting from out of town. I love that it’s open until 2 AM because our flight got in very late and we were still about to explore. It was easily accesible and and interesting set up because you order and pay at the kiosk and they bring the food to you. My friends got the tonkatsu which was very flavorful but the birria ramen wasn’t anything special for me. The soup wasn’t that flavorful nr was the meat: would definitely come back to try other things!
We ordered bold ramen and old skool ramen. Both are great. We like the old skool ramen slightly better.
The wait is pretty long so be prepared.
I stopped at this place for a quick meal and was surprised at how delicious the Ramen soup was. friendly service
