I am a returning customer. The food tastes fresh. The prices are about average for the area.
For a meal including pizza 🍕, salad 🥗, and a soda 🥤, I pay between $30 and $40.
The pizza dough is pretty thick and I had trouble finishing a medium sized pizza. On the pictures you can see a medium sized pizza and a small sized pizza. Normally, I do not have problems finishing a tasty pizza.
Important: You order at a counter and then get the food brought to your table. Soda is available from a fountain and you drink out of a paper cup. This setting is fine for informal meals but maybe not appropriate for a business lunch/dinner or a first date.
My negative points are: (1) For an Italian restaurant, I would like to see more pizza choices. (2) Also, I had the same salad (Greek) on several different occasions and the size differed significantly, see pictures. (3) The friendliness of the staff varies a lot and is more on the European side (= not so good). (4) On several occasions, the cutlery was not clean enough and I or my friends had to ask for clean cutlery.
I had a Great experience in this place that I never heard before I look up for an Italian restaurant around Mountain View. The pasta was so fresh and the sauce was delicious. Attached to the restaurant has a store where you can buy tons of delicious staff. Definitely I will come back and recommend it too.
Great atmosphere good prices you can get a bottle of wine under $20 here and great pasta.
I had the spaghetti and meatballs with spicy mushroom sauce.. so
Good!
Update 10/8: I have to remove a star due to their terrible service today. Granted there were many togo orders but also many staff. Most of the ladies didn’t seem to know or care, and their attitude was don’t-care. Only the tall young guy was attentive but was swamped with orders. I hope the service will improve.
Not bad for a quick meal. I will say that the Pasta Market is not gourmet pasta but rather a good place for above average pasta and pizza.
The ordering of food is the standard, order at counter, get paper cups for the beverage dispenser, and go sit down. The food is brought out to you by an employee. No server involved. Pretty much all self serve.
The wife and I have been visiting this particular Pasta Market for years and have never had a bad meal. The wife especially enjoys the bread sticks with the cheese spread.
Got my fav Pizza, light cheese fresh tomatoes and garlic and pesto sauce on the side. My brother got the fettuccine prawns with artichokes and spinach one of the specials he really liked it and had a nice light sauce extra virgin olive oil and garlic I think it had white wine too.😋😋😋
