Twisted Roots Yogurt

First time to this location. Had heard mixed reviews from local friends, some love it, some don't like the prices. I'm ok with paying more for premium quality and great customer service because I value experiences and locally owned shops and I like supporting locals. I absolutely love that the young man behind the counter was super nice, professional and so helpful. I just had some oral surgery done 48hrs ago, work close by and was in the need of a cold smoothie after work so I figured it was a good time to check this place out. While the choices weren't abundant, I was happy with what they offered for the smoothie base, pretty basic, and I was happy with the mix-in options. I purposely picked things that would make my smoothie a little thicker and the guy behind the counter did his best to make it as smooth as possible for me. Again, super nice! I agree with the prices reported by others, they are a little more on the expensive side. I paid almost $12 for my smoothie. For comparison I went to my local IJ the next day for the same smoothie and it was $2.50 less. So, great service, ok option variety, good taste, but pricier than others. I might try it again since it's close to my job.

We have kids with food allergies and this is our favorite spot for "ice cream"/froyo! Today our oldest had to have a big blood draw, so we rewarded him with a cup of his favorite gluten and dairy free froyo. We love that they are now on the wall with everything else and we can do it by weight with added sprinkles!

Tried this place on a whim after checking some reviews. It's tucked in, a little hole in the wall, might miss it if you're not specifically looking for it. There's about 12 flavors, atleast 2 of which were gluten free, and 2 were down for cleaning. Typical froyo place where you serve yourself, this place spoons on toppings at the central station, it's weighed, and you pay. Seemed more expensive than what were used to; we paid $16 for two people, whereas we usually pay $10 to $12 at our local TCBY, where we serve our own toppings (we're heavy handed with them) and get a military discount (no military discount here). That being said, the flavors were good, but I think we'd try other dessert locations, instead of returning.

Walked in with low exceptions over flavor and quality of yogurt, but I left very content and surprised. Definitely have some very unique flavors and multiple toppings to choose from. It tastes like normal frozen yogurt with all the sugar and added ingredients. I would recommend this to anybody for a date, family night, or a quick snack.
