The Inkwell

Me and my boyfriend came over here and loved it. I love the punk rock music playing, the drinks are super good and delicious. I got the ice Dutch coffee. Oh man the whip cream and the coffee was so good I felt fully awake after drinking it for an extra few hours. Staff are really nice and cool. Only issue was funding the entrance but still like it here and love the atmosphere of it being open at night as well. Definitely come here for a great time!!

Was looking for a coffee shop with an original vibe, and this place certainly fits the criteria. Yes, it's dark. Expect your eyes to adjust a bit before even attempting to read the menu; the pics give you an idea of the lighting situation. But remember, you're not there to read a book, you're there to enjoy an original coffee drink; and that they do in a glimmering spotlight of delicious. I asked the server to make me one he recommends and what he came back with was the most amazing cappuccino I've had in months! Loved every sip of it.

You can’t leave without having a Dutch coffee. Whether it’s hot or iced, it’s always an amazing treat. The menu and food is your typical diner food, which is to say it’s not disappointing and not mind-blowing. Expect wait times and service to take a while, as it gets busy quickly. Love it here always. Had a previous review mentioning the loud music but tbh it wouldn’t be the same without it

I've been a long time customer at Inkwell and I love the food, vibe, and workers there. If there was anything I had to critique about it, it would probably really be wait time, like how long it takes for food to come out or the check to arrive. But that's not a huge detriment, I understand it can get really busy there. It's a nice place to chill while waiting around. Though if you're expecting a quiet place for a quick bite, this is not the spot for you. Nonetheless, I will always come back because it's about the experience for me! :)

I stepped into this place and ordered food and just wow!! I couldn’t believe what I was in for. Everything on the menu looked amazing so I tried the PHAT wrap!! It was probably one of the most amazing things I’ve eaten in my life. The atmosphere looked extremely nice and I want to actually eat inside the place the next time. The shake I also had was next to amazing!! If you ever go to the beach or just walk around Long Branch, don’t miss this spot!! You won’t regret it!! Please also try their Dutch Coffee, it’s truly addicting!

Coming here is an experience. It's not flashy and it's not upscale. It's unique, has great service and offers a truly fantastic drink and dessert menu which are really fun. There is also a big variety of Vintage is the loving way to describe the deteriorating interior of this place. But you don't come here for that. You come here because this is just a great spot to hang out. The vibe of the customers and servers combined with the drinks and desserts really make this place. And infamous New Jerseyan Kevin Smith used to eat here all the time. It also is in a very convenient location. What's more could you need?
