Review Lido Kosher Deli - Long Beach

LOVE this place! Their matzoh ball soup is my favorite anywhere. They serve you full sour and half sour pickles and Cole slaw when you sit down. They have a great lunch special with a cup of soup (matzoh is extra because it only comes in a bowl) and a mini sandwich. Even the mini sandwich is large enough to take half home. Their menu is huge and I love their knishes which come in various kinds. They have a ton of tables and friendly waiter service. Definitely one of my favorite kosher delis.

The Lido is the Best! I mean it. One look in the deli case will confirm this. I live far away now and I wake up at night shaking in need of the Lido. Update: The remodel is nice and roomy! I hadn't seen it yet. And the food gets even better every time I visit which is simply mind-blowing.

Great food. Amazing pickles and coleslaw. The knish was also very tasty. Favorite kosher deli on Long Island. Great variety of sandwiches and sides.

Our dear friends took us here for the best deli around, and sliding Deli did not disappoint! Hands down, the best pastrami sandwich I’ve ever had, anywhere. Same for the knishes and the coleslaw. I gave the atmosphere 5 stars caus it’s exactly how I like my deli to be. Simple, plain atmosphere with a wonderful menu of delicious items that are as good as can be.

This place was so good. I had the juiciest pastrami sandwich I ever had and it was delicious. There hand cut sweet potato fries were amazing. Very good soup and potato pancake. The service was fantastic also. I will definitely be back.

We really enjoy Lido deli. They've been our go to for pastrami and chopped liver for a long time. While the pastrami on rye and chopped liver were delicious, we found the mini lakes to be a little greasy. Also the round baked potato knish was not the same as in the past. I remembered it having more sauteed onions, and was disappointed in that lack of flavor. Was the recipe changed?

Enjoyed a corned beef sandwich that was totally stuffed. Was other people so we had some side dishes that were very good. Their french fries still have the skins on them which makes for an interesting taste. Wise to order then well done. They weren't at all greasy. They may have been actually baked in the oven!

The Lido is a great authentic New York Kosher Deli. Everything you could want, remember, and wish for in New York Jewish food is here. I can’t recommend it highly enough!!! Another visit & the food tastes even better. Wow those sandwiches are huge.

I had the best pastrami Sandwich I ever had. In my entire life. There is no ambiance... It's a simple jewish deli but the food is so good

Hands down the best pastrami on rye I have ever had! The meat was tender and juicy and you get a lot of it! Great Cole slaw and garlic pickles! Lots of desserts to choose from. I would definitely go back! Service was great, very friendly staff!

Although they are not currently under kosher supervision, the meats are all strictly glatt kosher (Empire brand). The staff are all very friendly and the food is authentic kosher deli style - very generous portions of delicious meats with pickles and cole slaw. This place is a gem.

Pretty good pastrami and corned beef its definitely up there as one of my top places to get that type of sandwich the pickles were very good as well the meat was made extra lean for me which I love amd I will definitely be coming back to try more menu items and more pastrami and corned beef as well!

I haven't had the opportunity to go into the city for a while. Been craving a katzes pastrami on rye. Was out for a ride with a friend and stopped at Lido for lunch. I got corned beef on rye and he got pastrami. We swapped half a sandwich each. Both were excellent. Piled high with good quality meat. Of course complimentary pickles and cold slaw. 5/2020 update from my original post last summer. Have been back multiple times alone and with friends. Motza ball soup and sandwich off the hook. Soup could be served hotter. I prefer the square potato kinish over round. All who have gone with me have been back. This place is 32 miles away from me, went last week for curbside pickup. Pastrami on rye and kinish. Brought home and warmed in microwave, not as juicy as in house but satisfied my craving. FYI I'm not Jewish.

Food is very good. Nice staff. Owner is friendly and cares. Good service. Sandwiches can last a few meals. Great soups.

Even in Manhattan, a place like Lido would be a gem. Often the modern deli sandwich is 1" tall, but here I was pleased to see a traditional 3" tall version. Likewise, I was able to ask for lean meat, which is also hard to find. Complimentary pickles and coleslaw alone could feed 4 people. I thought the sandwich and knish were both delicious as were various bakery items. Lido has a huge selection.

Pastrami was good as was the chopped chicken liver. Cole Slaw I didn't care for the taste and it had some large pieces of cabbage just not appetizing.

Best matzoh ball soup and pastrami on Long Island!! The service is fast and friendly and the food is great.

I catered our Seder from Lido Deli. It was so easy to order over the phone. Great customer service. I picked up our food and I was thinking how long it would take with all their customers but the order was boxed and ready to go in minutes. Every item we ordered was delicious. Just warmed everything up and was ready to eat. Our family loved it and I recommend having them cater your next Seder or party. Could not have been easier or more delicious. Five Stars. *****
