We weren’t sure what to expect, but we were blown away by the friendly and helpful staff. They explained the menu to us and gave excellent recommendations. The food was all delicious and if I’m ever in London again, this will certainly be back on the itinerary.

Always a great experience. Lovely little location with nice tables outside, great service, lots of room inside, and a perfectly executed menu of ingenious combinations every time. The cans of their own lager are particularly nice with food.

We loved our lunch at St John's. Our server helped us a lot about the menu and also helped us to find a pairing wine. He gave us various options and able to tell all about the wines.
We loved the mussels and also the rarebit.

We arrived on a Monday afternoon around 8 pm without a reservation. We had our first starter on a street table but the staff was happy to accommodate us inside pretty fast once there was an available spot.
The egg mayonnaise with anchovies was a great simple plate with lots of flavour: perfect next to a glass of house white wine.
The crispy pig skin with dandelion and sorrel had a perfect balance between acid and fat and we were surprised to find pig skin on a salad.
The potted beef came with toast and some pickles. It was really savory and fatty. It can be a little too much if you’re planning on closing the meal with more meat. Anyway, it was good.
The roast was one of the best we’ve ever tried and the chard was a great combination. Horseradish really brightened the dish.
The desert needs to be mentioned: we had the bread and butter pudding and it was from another planet.
Service is top notch. We felt welcomed from start to finish, and every dish was properly explained. We asked for the book but it was out of stock. She seemed upset that we couldn't take one back home. “No worries, we have a reservation at the other St John for tomorrow’s lunch”, we said. A second later, she was calling St John to make sure there was a copy available for us. The day after, our book was waiting at St John… and also another great experience.

Food was delicious and the service good, all staff were lovely! The only annoying thing was the woman on the next table who chipped her cigarette and then brought the unfinished half back in the restaurant with her making everything stink, not a lot the restaurant could do about her lack of manners though so no blame for them! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and suggest you definitely try the rarebit....... Yummy!!!!

Took my Dad for Father’s Day and had one of the best lunches I’ve had in a long time. Oysters, deep fried rarebit, roast middle white, and the madeleines were the highlights. The service was amazing despite it being a busy Father’s Day Sunday, I can’t wait to come back again.

I'm a St. John's acolyte, particularly Bread&Wine, and I really loved our experience at the Marylebone branch. We had a super friendly and cordial waiter and everything was delicious.
I see a lot of complaints about the price but with the cost of living so comes the cost of running a restaurant and pricing is completely fair for the quality of food, service and location. I will say I still prefer the B&W location just because that's where I started my St. John's experience and the crowd is a lot more my speed.

One of my most favourite restaurants in the London!! Every single dish on the menu is absolutely delicious. We had the Sancerre rouge wine - can highly recommend!! The staff is super lovely. We spent a great time with friends! Thank you for having us
