We had an excellent meal at Il Bacaro. We weren’t going to have a starter but we were offered tapenade and bread to share and this was delicious. Our main meals were simple but very tasty; the pasta nicely al dente and the portion sizes just right. A nice and reasonably priced bottle of wine too. Warm and friendly service. Easily as good as the other more well known Italian restaurant nearby! Recommended.

IL BACARO is an amazing Italian restaurant that offers a wide variety of delicious dishes. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The food is fresh and flavorful, and the prices are reasonable. The pasta dishes are especially noteworthy, with a wide selection of options that are sure to please. The wine list is extensive, and the desserts are delectable. We had a wonderful dining experience at IL BACARO and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience.

I would go back to this place for the bruschetta, the prosecco, the absolutely lovely staff, and the promise of vegan tiramisu (if you call ahead and ask for it!) They were very, very hospitable to vegans - and they can do more things vegan than are marked on the menu. Make sure you chat to the staff about it! The place wasn't noisy (big tick from me!), and the vibe is casual and homely. Overall, nice!

Came here as the other restaurant nearby was fully booked so not sure what to expect. The food was not disappointing - not the fancy classy type of Italian food but the homemade kind (just as the name suggests). The veal tortelloni was recommended to me as I asked for a tomato based pasta dish - the sauce was rich and flavourful. I liked the idea of putting tiramisu in a little plant pot, but the chocolate chips are a bit extra for me (also too many of them), kinda ruined the dessert but overall a nice experience. One addition star for the very friendly service.

Lovely local Italian restaurant, very friendly service patiently explains and show me different amaro they have. Freshness of pasta caught our attention, truffle ravioli and wild boar tagliatelle are my favourites. Not to forget that exquisitely looking pot of Tiramisu, very inviting. Pricing is decent with a bottle of wine between 4 adults, we shared 3 desserts between us it came to around £40 each.

Cozy little Italian restaurant. Amazingly creamy oozing bufala cheese (or is it burrata? Always don’t really know the difference 😅). Flavourful mushroom pasta but a tad bit too undercooked. Cozy vibe for friends and family. Recommended 😉
