I've been desperately looking for a decent Indian takeaway in Walthamstow and I'm thrilled to come across Bombay Durbar. The food was freshly cooked, not swimming in oil and very tasty. Looking forward to trying out the street food selection next time. They've found a regular customer in me. See you again soon.

The food is freshly made with very good quality ingredients, and the chef prepares it according to your preference. You can really taste the difference! The chef and the staff are welcoming, and the service is very attentive. It looks like it's primarily a take away, but you can eat in: there are about 20-25 seats. It's not licensed so doesn't sell alcohol. As the dishes are made from scratch it takes a while to cook, so you might consider reading the menu online and calling to place your order before going. We enjoyed our meal and would really recommend Bombay Darbar!

I have worked here as an assistant under the chef for 2 months. The food is so authentic and hygiene where the chef uses very good quality products to cook the food. I used to eat so many dishes done by her in Bombay style (Indian Style). I went today for the first time as a customer to order Samosa Chat which was made by the chef (Shahida) and the taste was so good which reminded me of my mother. Thank you so much for the food and your support in hard times.

The owner Shahida is a very welcoming person and the place is full of warmth because of her hospitable nature. The food cooked here is fresh and having tasted the biryani, I can vouch that it's one of the best we have ever had... Since the food is freshly prepared, it can be customised and is served as per your pallette. A must visit place for Indian especially an Mumbai experience :)
