Mr. Meng

Ordered beef noodles and sour and spicy noodles. Wish there were more potato noodles in the sour and spicy noodles. Good flavour beef. My boyfriend found the noodles in the beef one slightly too al dente for his liking. Overall I would come back again as I couldn't find many places that do sour and spicy noodles (I was craving it!)

Mr Meng serves authentic Chongqing dishes that are fulll of flavour and spice. As soon as you step in you can just smell the aromatic mala, smells just like a restaurant in China. I had the braised beef noodles and beef and tomato noodles they were both flavoursome and so tasty, a quick and comforting Chinese meal. Also ate the meat dumplings in spicy sauce and beef and ox tongue, both really yummy, just note they are cooked and prepared with the same flavours so order something else if you want a variety of flavours to eat. Expect a really casual, fast food setting. Everything was super modern and clean.

My experience here was more than enough to enjoy modern Chinese food! The location and price are reasonable, and the kind guidance and help of the staff helped me a lot in deciding on the menu. As a Korean, I often enjoy Chinese food, and this place is on the list so much that I come here often! If you want to enjoy Chinese desserts for dessert, we recommend those with brown sugar added!
