Round Square Restaurant

I have been eating at Round Square since they first positioned themselves at the current address some ten years ago and there are, of course, very valid reasons why I still frequent this particular restaurant even now - the best Chinese restaurant in Islington and the neighboring areas offering authentic Cantonese and Shanghainese cuisine. The food is cooked with passion and are truly delicious, value for money. Service is always excellent and professional. Staff, including the Boss herself, are attentive and courteous, always with a smile on their face. The restaurant and the two KTV rooms provide a relaxing ambience. My favorite dishes include their barbecued pork and roast duck from their own roaster; sweet and sour spare ribs, stuffed three treasures (aubergine, pepper, beancurd), braised chicken, Four Happiness Gluten Salad, Yellow Croaker with salt and pepper, braised pork...and many other signature dishes that one can be spoilt for choice. Once you have eaten at Round Square, you will appreciate what good simple Chinese food is about : taste, colour, aroma and presentation. ENJOY YOUR DINING EXPERIENCE AT ROUND SQUARE , YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

I have gone to the restaurant multiple times, the food is delicious and very flavourful. I highly recomment going with family/friends as it has a very warm ambience. The K-Tv is perfect for everyone to have a fun time. My favourite dish has to be the black pepper sirloin with rice cakes. It’s a must visit!!!!!

This restaurant is local to me and I would often order from here.. I particularly enjoyed the honey roast pork chow mein but found some of the other dishes bland and not particularly flavourful. I have just gone to make an order but they now have a new website, and the prices have increased dramatically. In addition to this, if you want free delivery, you have to order for £30. This used to be £15. Not impressed

Absolutely love this Chinese restaurant! Their cheap braised pork and sweet and sour pork are mouthwatering. And don't miss out on their private KTV room – I had a great time with my friends singing there. Couldnt believe I could get such authentic chinese food at such a reasonable price in north london!

Great food and hospitality. Cantonese style roast duck made by own chef is succulent with crispy skin. Black pepper sirloin steak is tender and cooked to perfection. One of the best “wat tan hor” (stir fried runny egg flat rice noodle) we have had in London. Drunken chicken is well flavoured. We finished off with a traditional mochi-type delicate dessert that we’d definitely order again.

I’m giving round square 5 stars because the food was great , the service was great and I would definitely order from here again. I walked in to order a take out. The inside looks like a nice spot to sit and eat. They have large round tables; so nice for small group setting. And they have great customer service and very smiley. Food: I had king prawn fried rice and chicken chow mein. My friend had Vegan fried rice and broccoli in garlic And we got 2 portions of veg spring roll. The food tasted delicious, was perfectly seasoned. No over salty and not bland. Just right. It also tasted fresh and wasn’t soaked in oil. The prawns were nicely cooked and tasted great ! We ordered two portions because we thought we were going to get the typical small spring rolls but we’re pleasantly surprised that we got larger veg spring rolls. They were delicious ! Clearly freshly made and had such a nice crunch to them ! You also get a good portion of food ! When in the area I will deffo be revisiting. Thank you ! ✨
