Chesterfield Arms

We went here for an after-work drink. The staff was great and the atmosphere relaxed. Good music playing at a not too loud level making conversation easy. They have a nice selection of beer and drinks. I got a well made Gin and Tonic. I heard the food should be good, so I’ll definitely return to try that.

On our last evening in London, and after a long day of touring in the Cotswolds we were ready for a traditional Sunday roast at the Chesterfield Arms which was a 10 min. walk from our hotel in May Fair. We had made a reservation and arrived on time. Kate took excellent care of us in the lovely upstairs dining room. We ordered a bottle of wine and the porchetta roast dinner which included roasted potatoes, vegetables, a perfectly cooked Yorkshire pudding and gravy. We saw beef Wellington, fish and chips, the charcuterie board and cheese burger being delivered to other diners. All looked very appetizing. It was a pleasant and delicious end to our stay.

The food is excellent. Don't be fooled that the restaurant is located above and part of a great pub, because the food is truly fine dining. The new chef has created unique tastes. The Wild Mushroom Duck Egg appetizer is amazing. During our nine day stay in Mayfair we went three times, tried the Beef Wellington, Roasted Chicken Breast with Pancetta Broth, and Roasted Pork Chop - all were delicious. The service matched the quality of the food - attentive and friendly. We highly recommend the Chesterfield Arms for meals that won't disappoint.

We had an amazing dinner here our last night in London. We anticipated it would be another Pub type food menu and boy were we wrong. We sat upstairs in the restaurant area and were pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing, our best meal on the entire trip. The menu was very creative, and service was great. Our waiter (Ben) was personable, funny, and so much fun to talk with about the UK. It was an amazing way to cap off an incredible trip. Thank you!

Stumbled upon this great pub while out sightseeing. It was busy but the staff was excellent! Helpful with choosing a beer, did their best to get our food out despite how crazy it was getting in the pub (dining is upstairs). Would highly recommend and will return- the fish and chips were everything I’d been waiting for!
