Café Pacifico in Covent Garden is renowned as the pioneer of Mexican cuisine in the UK. A historic establishment dating back to 1982, it has long been a prominent figure introducing the vibrant flavors of Mexico, its tequila heritage, and rich culture to London. I recently had - Starting with the Guacamole, a fresh and tangy delight made from ripe avocados, tomatoes, onions, and a tantalizing blend of spices, it was a delicious start. The pomegranate seeds and fresh coriander added a delightful twist, making it the perfect companion to the crispy corn chips. The Quesadillas followed, served with that unmistakable charm of Café Pacifico. Grilled flour tortillas, oozing with cheesy goodness and the succulent taste of roasted red peppers. I couldn't resist choosing the Chicken Tinga filling, and it was a wise choice. The harmonious fusion of flavors left me craving for more. For the main course, I opted for the Vegan Burrito Especial, a colorful delight that's perfect for those with a taste for the extraordinary. A flour tortilla, generously stuffed with roasted sweet potato, black beans, and grilled pineapple, and crowned with the creamy richness of guacamole. Accompanied by tomato chipotle salsa, it was a true taste revelation. Paired with the choice of Mexican rice, it was a dish that celebrated Mexican authenticity with every bite. And let's not forget the Chicken Tinga and Avocado Tacos, an artful trio of flour tortillas filled with chicken tinga and crisp red cabbage. Crowned with fresh red onions, coriander, and avocado slices, this dish was a fiesta of flavors. Served with black beans, Mexican rice, and a delightful drizzle of chipotle mayo, it was a journey of Mexican cuisine like no other. But what truly stole the show were the Tequila cocktails. They were a symphony of flavors and the perfect companions to the meal. Each sip, a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, just like Café Pacifico itself. Whether you're an aficionado of Mexican flavors or a newcomer, this place promises an unforgettable experience. Café Pacifico has truly set the standard for Mexican cuisine in the UK, and it continues to shine. A must-visit for food enthusiasts in London.

Amazing quality food, I used to come here with my father when it first opened. Really the best Mexican sit down restaurant I can found in London, I don't bother going anywhere else to be honest. Miles ahead of most. Tres Leches cake is really really good here and we love the Jarritos. Last time I had the Degustacion El Pacifico I believe. I was really happy with the end result. Looks and presentation weren't the best but taste wise 5 stars. Really over the moon. Thanks guys.

I've never eaten better Mexican food in my life 😍. Really good service, it was speedy too as requested because we were off to a show. The staff were also lovely and I loved the restaurant's whole decorative vibe.

If you like Mexican food you will love this place. Just off Covent Garden it is central but you wouldn't necessarily stumble across it. Booking highly recommended. Also great cocktails.

Been here many times and always good food. Service always consistently good. Never had a bad experience. Need to always book though. They get very busy. Good options of vegetarian food.

Excellent Margaritas, but the food could be better and overpriced; also it did not include something so basic for Mexican food like guacamole, pico de gallo, etc. If you wanted these you would have to buy them separately! The atmosphere is really cool and decoration too!

Great vibes and delicious food. Small error on our order but staff rectified it and we ended up with a free dish due to wrong dish being served.

I often come here whenever I find myself in central London. The restaurant is tucked away nicely off the main street so you don't have too much foot traffic walking past the large windows and the decoration inside is nicely themed. The food is good, but probably not quite perfect. I would say consistency is sometimes an issue, it's never bad, but just how good it is can vary from time to time. There were no mocktails on the menu that I saw on my last visit, I often like one to make me feel like an adult without having the responsibility of being one.

A good place to dine Mexican cuisine and original cocktails. The nachos with drinks and tacos options for the main course are very good. At the bar you can find classic drinks as well as interpretations of Mexican cuisine blended with sour and bitter flavors. I recommend the Pomelon margarita, Mezcarita and Strawberry margarita for those who like it sweeter. The service is generally fast and high quality. The bartender is friendly and fast. Friday and Saturday can be crowded and a bit noisy. It is quieter on weekdays and Sunday afternoon. It is very pleasant to have a drink before dinner, when the place is quieter, and then go to dinner. The decoration is colorful and offers a cosy Mexican atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable for the center of London, particularly for the main dishes. No outdoor area is available.
