Tapa Tapa

Our server was great. She had lost her voice a little, but she still managed to be super professional, and friendly. The food was excellent. The only minor criticism would be the order the food came out. Although we are all familiar with Tapas, and the way it all comes when it's ready, the last dishes to arrive on the table were the patatas bravas, and the croquetas. All the potatoes basically. We imagined the patatas bravas would come out fairly quickly and would be a nice accompaniment to the rest of the dishes, so it was disappointing that they came out last because we had ordered more of these than anything. So we were left with a table full of potato, because we had finished everything else. It just wasn't the ideal order. But as I said, the actual food and service was excellent. It's just the order of the dishes that let the meal down as a whole.

Surprisingly good. This is as a chance choice as I was attending an exhibition at the Excel. I’ve never really been a fun of tapas as my previous experience was not great. The portion sizes here are generous and food is very tasty and also very well presented. Highly recommended for a casual and quick bite.

I would zero star if it was possible. This is the worst experience in a restaurant I have ever experienced. 4 of us arrived at the restaurant and asked for a table of 8 at 2:20pm. The waitress (Ester M) informed us that the restaurant will close at 3. We said that was fine then she said you need to order now. We ordered some tapas for the whole group and we gave a drinks order. At 2:30pm we asked for some more drinks and the waitress said you can only have 1 drink each. Therefore half the group had to eat their tapas with no drinks! At 2:48pm bread arrived but we were unable to eat it as we had no drinks! This used be our usual spot after ExCel twice a year but now we will be avoiding this place altogether!

Attended as a group of 7 people for a pre-booked table. Ordered our food at 7.30. 1st dish arrived at 8pm. The last at 10.10! I appreciate that food comes out as and when it’s available but over 2.5 hours for 3 tapas dishes each is awful. Waitress never apologised and had a disinterested face the entire time. She never even addressed the delay. We had to get up and find the manager. We asked for tap water 3 times and the waitress nodded on each occasion. On the 4th occasion we asked we were told they only had bottled water, not tap water. I find it hard to believe they don’t have drinking water from the tap, but even if they don’t maybe tell us on the 1st occasion not the 4th?! Many people walked out on this evening. We were told the booking system had messed up and taken too many bookings. However there were empty tables still?! Another member of staff told a different table they were a chef down. We just felt that nobody had a clue what was going on and also didn’t care in the slightest.

Fantastic restaurant just outside of the ExCel center. Decor was very upmarket and ambience was excellent even on a Sunday afternoon. Staff were friendly and very attentive, the food was amazing. Wish I could have been able to eat more of it! Lots of little food =/= small portions! Will return again.
