Restaurant Miura

What an amazing experience. Real and delicious sushi. Their Omakase is certainly special and won't disappoint you. Probably my new favorite sushi restaurant in the world. The flavors, the quality and the quantity is top notch. Will come back in a heartbeat to celebrate a special occasion. My only complaint is the chopsticks could have better quality.

I came to eat here with my girlfriend because this restaurant had such good reviews, but we left very disappointed. First of all their menu had a very limited selection and was somewhat confusing. The waiter gave me a plate with ginger and wasabi and then I placed it closer to me in order to make it easier for me to eat. But a few minutes after doing so, the waiter came from behind and grabbed my plate then placed it on the table ledge telling me “this goes here”. I found that to be extremely rude. When our food came out the waiter and the chef just kept on staring at my girlfriend and I; and it make our dining experience super uncomfortable and awkward. The sushi we ordered was ok but nothing special, we have eaten at other sushi places that have way better tasting sushi and at much lower prices. So if you want to have basic sushi at high prices with rude staff, by all means come here.

Absolutely fresh, excellent quality sushi. My Japanese husband and I eat all over the South Bay, and have probably been to almost every Sushi place there is between Long Beach and Manhattan Beach, as well as countless places in Japan. Tucked away in a strip mall in Lomita, you'll miss this place if you don't know to look for it. Make it a point to look for it, and make reservations if you can, but they'll try their best to fit you in if you don't. The sushi is incredibly fresh, and seasonal, and dishes are made with care. This is where locals who know and appreciate real Japanese food (sushi) go. If you can't decide on one thing and want to get an idea of how fresh and lovely their sushi is, try the Chirashi.
