Wow!!! Great experience on a road. Traveling from San Antonio to Brownwood Breakfast stop at Hungry Hunter in Llano. Friendly staff, down home family atmosphere. There's a breakfast buffet available plus order from the menu. 6 of our party head for the buffet. I went traditional by with french toast and sausage. Everyone was happy and full. Highly recommend this. Will definitely be stop again when passing through Llano

I had the steak fingers and it was very good because the batter was seasoned and not too thick. We showed up close to closing time by accident (I didn't realize they closed at 8) and I ended up with cold mashed potatoes which is the only reason for 4 stars. I could have asked for them to warm them up but I didn't want to make the kitchen mad (sending food back right as the kitchen closed)
However, even cold they were very smooth, had good flavor and no peals which is a must for me. The price was good and since we had dinner after 5 the salad bar was included which is a great value because it is a fantastic salad bar with real bacon bits, cheese, sliced boiled eggs, good dressings and a wide variety of fresh ingredients.
All in all I want to return and try their breakfast when I get a chance and some of their other lunch/dinners. Also, I will definitely be back for those steak fingers and mashed potatoes (just hopefully hot next time).

The only reason I'm giving this 3 stars is because the Breakfast tacos were pretty good and they were super big. I ordered 2, but I should have only ordered 1.
Our service was, to simply say, horrible. Our waitress didn't show up to give us menus, we had to go find our own menus. And when she finally showed up, we were ready to order and she only took our drink order which took about 15 minutes for a couple of sodas and waters.

I was looking for a place to eat breakfast in Hill country. Not to many to choose from out here. Someone at my work place recommended Hungry Hunters to me in Llano. Boy oh boy did I have a Hungry Hunters experience. The place is a good size. Tables are not crowded. Wonderful homey atmosphere and the food did not disappoint. I had such a wonderful experience. Being that I was so hungry made it all the more satisfying. My husband had the lunch buffet and I was craving French toast. Definitely worth your money. Thank you for making my belly happy.

Found this cafe on the way from Hunt TX. Entered I guess right at closing and it was a little annoying that servers were sweeping while people were eating. The restaurant was also freezing! They had a buffet but, did not look fresh, guess due to the time. The Swiss mushroom and bacon hamburgers were homemade and absolutely amazing. Fries were good too. The servers were nice

Food took a while. They are short staffed and a new cook. I had the western omelet and it was DELISH!!!!! aside from that if they have a full crew this place would be thumping.
Our server kept checking in on us and kept apologizing. We understood, and were ok with the wait. Food was UHMAZING!!!! BE BACK!!
