Lake Pointe Yacht Club Inc

In my 20's this was one o f my many hangouts. Now, I'm in my 60's, and (due to the pandemic, they removed some tables to comply with social distancing health directions), the place is still a happening place! Two friends and I had dinner there. Two of us enjoyed a Friday Special called Caribbean Walleye. The fish was cooked to perfection, salads were a full platter (almost a meal in themselves), and one of the group had a beer burger and he was surprised at the thickness of the burger. Drinks and food were moderately priced, served by a gal in a bikini, in a setting with a great view of Newburgh Lake which was active with ducks, geese and swans moving about at feeding time. Plenty of parking on Ann Arbor Road just west of Newburgh Road in Livonia. You'll enjoy the food, drinks and overall experience at the Lakepointe Yacht Club!

4 stars for back patio view, especially on a beautiful summer day, service and food presentation! They did a great job on fries, both sweet potato fries and regular that we'd ordered. Their much reputed 'shaved ribeeye' sandwich (menu name already forgotten), tasted of rancid oil or butter taste off of the grill/hotplate was less than desirable, couldn't take more than the first bite. Servers were quite attentive and very nice. Not a place for me to return to, unless to appease company

This used to be my go to place. It went down pretty quick due to repeated bad service and diminishing food quality. It has come back a little bit recently with better service (and staff) and food. One thing that always seems to stand out to me though....the draught beer. It never seems to be what I ordered yet they bring it out and say "here is your ___". It's a pretty noticeable taste difference. Makes me wonder what is actually on tap...
